Chapter 719 - 719 To the Infirmary
“Xi Xi!” Lin Xiao Tong rushed over to her friend’s side, wanting to help her up. However, seeing the way Bai Xi Xi was hissing in pain frightened her and Lin Xiao Tong began to worry that lifting her friend up would worsen the situation.
Meanwhile, Fu Chen started to panic the moment he heard Lin Xiao Tong’s scream. He pushed Yang Xu aside and his eyes widened in surprise upon seeing that Bai Xi Xi was on the ground.
“Class Monitor!” Fu Chen wanted to go over and help Bai Xi Xi up. However, Lin Xiao Tong and the girls were closer to help her up.
Seeing that Lin Xiao Tong was having a little trouble helping Bai Xi Xi up made him worry.
“Yang Xu!” Du Yao Yao turned to Yang Xu with an angry look on her face. She saw that it was Yang Xu who had pushed Yan Li, causing the latter to collide with Bai Xi Xi.
“What are you looking at me for?” Yang Xu shifted his eyes guiltily. “It wasn’t my fault that she fall.”
Du Yao Yao pointed her eyes at him. “You pushed her!”
“I didn’t!” Yang Xu frowned. “When did I touch her? Did you see it with your eyes? Du Yao Yao! Don’t accuse someone falsely!”
.....
Hearing his words only made the girls angrier. However, before they could continue to scold Yang Xu, Teacher Shen walked over to look at the situation.
“What’s going on here?” Teacher Shen asked. Her expression was a little fierce.
Du Yao Yao pointed at Yang Xu. “Teacher Shen, Yang Xu pushed Bai Xi Xi and caused her to fall.”
Yang Xu’s eyes widened in shock. He did not expect that Du Yao Yao would complain to their teacher just like that.
They were not in kindergarten. Why should she report his name like that?
“Teacher Shen, it wasn’t me,” Yang Xu spoke quickly. “It was Yan Li who did not step carefully and hit Bai Xi Xi.”
“It was you who pushed Yan Li, causing him to hit Xi Xi, wasn’t it?” Lin Xiao Tong spoke angrily.
“When did I push him?” Yang Xu stared at Lin Xiao Tong with a threatening gaze.
Teacher Shen was starting to get a headache upon hearing the students quarreling in front of her. She rubbed the space between her brows and heaved a deep breath. “Alright, both of you shut up!”
Yang Xu was about to continue defending himself when he heard Teacher Shen’s voice. Teacher Shen was among the fiercest teacher in school and many students were afraid of her.
Hearing Teacher Shen’s voice made Yang Xu shrink his neck.
Fortunately, Teacher Shen was no longer focusing on him. Instead, Teacher Shen walked over to Bai Xi Xi and looked at her legs. Her brow furrowed as she looked at her student.
“Bai Xi Xi, are you alright?” Teacher Shen asked. She crouched down beside Bai Xi Xi and looked at her ankle, touching it lightly. “Does it hurt?”
Bai Xi Xi gritted her teeth as she bore with the pain. “It hurts.”
“I think you sprained your ankle,” Teacher Shen spoke after observing Bai Xi Xi’s condition for a while. She raised her head and saw the worried look on Fu Chen’s face. Without giving it a thought, Teacher Shen summoned Fu Chen’s name. “Fu Chen.”
The teenage boy snapped out of his thought when he heard his name. “Yes, Teacher Shen.”
“Help me to carry Bai Xi Xi,” Teacher Shen spoke. “Bring her to the infirmary and let the doctor take a look at her ankle.”
Fu Chen nodded. “Yes, Teacher Shen.” He observed Bai Xi Xi’s situation for a while before deciding to crouch down in front of her. He turned his head and looked at Bai Xi Xi without saying anything.
Their gazes met briefly before Fu Chen looked away. He stretched his arms behind him, motioning for Bai Xi Xi to climb up on his body.
Bai Xi Xi stared at Fu Chen’s shoulder blade, wondering just what was it that he was trying to do.
Teacher Shen shifted her gaze at Lin Xiao Tong and the girls. “You girls, help Xi Xi to get up.”
Lin Xiao Tong was quick to step forward to help Bai Xi Xi to get her on Fu Chen’s back.
Bai Xi Xi could not help but flinch the moment her arms were put on Fu Chen’s shoulder. She wanted to retract her arms, thinking that being carried piggyback by Fu Chen was a little too intimate.
“Hold on tight!” Fu Chen spoke before Bai Xi Xi could retract her arms. “Otherwise, I might accidentally drop you.”
Fu Chen’s words made Bai Xi Xi change her mind. After a brief hesitation, Bai Xi Xi decided to put her arms around Fu Chen’s shoulder.
Fu Chen was only helping her to get to the infirmary. She should not feel shy about this. The most important thing was for her to get to the infirmary as soon as she could. Her brother always said that early treatment was the best.
Bai Xi Xi began to relax a little bit after she had come up with those reasons.
With Lin Xiao Tong supporting her, Fu Chen placed his hands around Bai Xi Xi’s legs and stood up. He stabilized himself before turning around to find the infirmary.
Lin Xiao Tong and the others wanted to go with Bai Xi Xi. However, before they could take another step, Teacher Shen was already blocking their path.
“Where do you think you are going?” Teacher Shen spoke. “Lin Xiao Tong, you stay here with me and explain to me what was going on.” She swept her gaze at the others and frowned. “You guys as well. No one is leaving before I figured out what is going on.”
