Chapter 267 - 267 Morgana Vs. Titan.
Zeenat was taken aback but recalling the rules she said, “It is possible, but this would require the consent of other champions as well.”
Titan smiled and gazing at Valerian he said, “I wonder if you have the balls to step in the ring with me.”
Valerian watched him but did not answer, he did not think this guy was someone worth mingling with. Titan, on the other hand, misunderstood his silence as his weakness and he said, “Seems like the royal blood in your veins is not hot enough, just yet, kid. Oh, I forgot you are not of royal blood at all. You are a bastard.”
That said, Titan started laughing loudly as if he found pleasure in this act of his. Libra held onto Vertex’s hand, who was about to stand up and attack this absurd human in front of him, and said, “I would appreciate it if an inbred did not make comments over origins.”
Titan glared at the man and said, “Old Libra, if you have guts say it again and see if you can still sit.”
At this moment, a calm voice sounded, “Inbred.”
The people were surprised as they found the voice belonging to Morgana. The empress of The centaur nation had come into the swamp a bit too unannounced. However, Titan did not immediately jumped to attack and chuckled as he said, “You are calling me an inbred, whilst being a seed of sin? Very interesting.”
Morgana shrugged her shoulders and said, “Well, I cannot compare to you, the entire nation of inbreds. I would be more surprised if you weren’t an inbred.”
.....
Titan clenched his fists and said, “You people who always preach about culture and mutual respect sure know how to be poisonous in your speech.”
Morgana chuckled and said, “You sure know how to snatch from others. However, hour diplomatic skill to blame would be so high, I found out only today.”
Titan snorted and asked, “I want to ask you if you want to come and fight or just talk like a cowardly bitch.”
Morgana nodded and with a faint smile she said to Valerian, “You do not mind if I beat him up before you, do you?”
Valerian shook his head and said, “I do not mind. Go ahead.”
Morgana nodded and stepped inside the ring as she said, “Come, berserker, let us see what made you so pompous.”
Titan was not afraid of her and walked inside the ring. Zeenat looked at the two people and sensed the rage broiling under the calm expression of the empress.
She walked out of the ring and stood at the side. She said, “Begin.”
However, none of the two people moved or took action against the enemy. Morgana was watching Titan silently, and her initial intention was to attack him. Still, the guy, even if he was standing casually, did not leave any room for the enemy to exploit.
Morgana did not disdain this warrior. She hated the unruly and the selfish nature of these people but she never doubted the skills they had to battle it out. She had learned in her training that none of the enemies or opponents were necessarily weaker than her, and even if they were weak, they could always turn tables on her if she was not careful enough.
Morgana said, “You seemed to have learned a lot for a war-monger.”
Titan smirked and said, “Are you not the same?”
Morgana knew what he was talking about but that was it, she did not intend to provide this guy with any other details of her improvement. She did not think of him as the only person she needed to deal with. Valerian was also on her list, but as a friendly competitor.
That said, Titan rushed forward and Morgana caught up with him. The distance of the ring was not big so the two people were onto each other in just a few minutes, and they exchanged a fist.
Valerian saw this first blow and frowned, he could see what was going to happen. He was not the only one, who saw this, the rest of the people did too.
This punch was deliberate, and also, the connection of the two blows disrupted the mana flow around Morgana. The mages in the field had their eyes channeled with mana, and they all knew what was happening.
Valerian looked at the exchange of blows without a word from his mouth and saw that the two were evenly matched. The gloom in his eyes grew with every impact exchanged. He could tell that this status quo will not last long.
The disruption of the mana flow was too taxing. Morgana was a genius mage, but at this moment, she was struggling to restore the flow to sustain her attacks.
Valerian noticed that since the lady was not chanting and channeling mana, it meant she has climbed the level of an arch-mage. However, the opponent she was dealing with was not someone easily dealt with.
If the spells were being canceled as they were being cast, that meant, Titan had something up his sleeve that was helping him with this task.
Valerian began to ponder over the situation while the fight continued as they moved on. The guy did not say anything for a while until he heard a small voice in his ears.
Turning around he found Fragrantia asking him, ‘What do you think?’
The lady was using single-handed signs and her attention was mainly focused on the fight. Valerian shook his head and this left Fragrantia surprised.
She did not understand why the young man would say anything like this when Azula asked out loud, “Valerian what do you think is going on here?”
The guy smiled at this, this girl was seriously misreading the situation. He sighed and said, “Sis, do you think it is fine for me to answer everything here?”
Azula nodded and said, “If you know what is going on here, then you should enlighten those like us. I will just ask you, why are the spells being dispelled?”
This much was obvious to her, that the spells were being canceled. Valerian sighed and said, “That berserker must be in possession of some artifact. Also, the rest of your questions must be answered at a later time, but can I please focus on the upcoming battle?”
Azula nodded and turned silent. Valerian sighed and looking at the battle he found that Morgana and Titan were both now covered with battle aura. The battle was entering the final stages.
The two people had begun moving around more and they were attacking each other with even more aggression. Valerian saw what was going on and sighed.
Despite the struggle and technique put up by Morgana, she was unable to get a lead on Titan. The match was evenly matched, however, gradually the empress was lagging and her actions were exposing more room for the berserk to move in for the kill.
As the number of blows exchanged increased, Valerian began to frown, he was worrying about the man dealing a critical blow to Morgana.
His thoughts seemed to have been read by the Emperor of Berserks, as soon as he was thinking about it, The emperor of the berserks lowered his back and pounced on Morgana.
The lady grabbed his neck under her arm after a quick sidestep, and then her knee was raised quickly to hit the person in his abs, however, the next moment, Titan raised his forearm to block the knee coming at him.
Then he made some grunting sounds and stood up with his arms around Morgana’s waist. The battle aura armor did not provide her with extra weight. However, just as the berserk camp began to celebrate.
Morgana smirked and used both her fists to hit the back of Titan’s head hard. The impact left a few cracks on the ground under the victim’s feet.
Valerian raised his eyebrow and said, “Once a schemer, always a schemer.”
A shallow curve at the end of his lips was evident. The lady had set up this guy, she lured him into her trap by faking weakness. The fist attack just now was too strong for someone at the end of the string.
Titan was surprised and not ready for this attack and was shaken, his grip loosened, and using this opportunity, Morgana slipped away from the grip of the man and then her battle aura turned into a broad sword.
The lady did not hesitate and using every muscle needed, she slashed down at the man in front of her. The blow to the head was strong and it disorientated the berserker. However, this did not stop him, the strongest attack was met with the strongest defense, and quickly turning around Titan crossed his arms and a shield appeared in front of him.
With a loud thud, the two people separated and came to stand still. The result of the match was still unknown.
