Chapter 171
“You shut up, if it wasn’t for me, you would have kicked the bucket already!”
“Uh!? do you want me to kick you again?”
“You’ve never kicked me, you punched me!”
“I don’t see the difference”
Ryu shrugged
“I’ll show you the difference!”
Luke was about to fall head on into Ryu’s taunts, but Bob stood in the middle and grabbed them on each arm and carried them as if they were a sack of potatoes.
.....
“You guys are too drunk, now I’ll take you to bed”
“No! please let me go! I can still party some more!”
Ryu begged.
“Don’t bother, there’s no reasoning with him when he gets like that”
Luke let himself be carried, his limbs hanging freely like wet noodles, in complete surrender, contrary to Ryu who was still kicking to get free.
“Uh, now that I think about it, where are you guys staying at?”
“I don’t remember, It was late night when we first arrived remember?”
Luke said a bit disgruntled because he wanted to keep drinking.
Although Bob looked like he was sober, he too was drunk, his huge frame and chunky appearance gave the impression to being really tolerant to alcohol, but in truth he wasn’t accustomed at all to drinking. He was still just a regular college student that was transported into another world, his new body was certainly stronger than his past one but being technically a new body he needed to build up resistance and tolerance to many different environments and substances. Luke, on the other hand, had a lot more tolerance than him because of the time he spent at the brothel indulging in his lowest desires, but even he got wasted after staying up so late with his companions.
They were having so much fun reminiscing the old times, even if they only went back a few months, that they didn’t even notice when did the girls leave the dinning hall. Now they were in the dark, in an unknown place that was too big to memorize it in a single day and because of that it wasn’t long before Bob got lost in between all the luxurious looking villas and started going in circles.
Every villa had their own hot spring and they were surrounded by fences or bushes to provide the privacy their hosts needed and, despite having almost a hundred employees, it was really difficult to find them at such hour.
“Hey put us down”
“No way, you’ll keep fighting!”
“We weren’t fighting Bob! we’re all good friends!”
Bob put them both in the ground, Ryu stood up on his own two feet, but Luke melted over the sidewalk sticking his ass up in the air.
“What are you doing Luke, get up!”
“It’s so comfy, just let me sleep in here, I won’t bother you guys”
He sighed.
The silence of the night was soothing, maybe a bit too much for the group of adventurers that had been working hard and then celebrating even harder. Bob and Ryu sat in the ground besides Luke, who was still in an awkward position and they looked at the unobstructed starry sky that graced them with the most fantastic sight they’ve caught ever in their lives.
“Wow! this is beautiful! I don’t have words to describe it, but it makes me feel so small”
“It is”
Ryu said and Bob replied as eloquent as a brick.
“Tell me Bob, did the sky look like that where you came from?”
“It’s difficult to explain”
“Let me see!”
Luke turned around and sat like his friends, but he was too drunk to keep his back straight and leaned on Bob who simply let him do as he wanted. Although Bob wasn’t that good with words, he did enjoy the time he spent with his friends.
“This is the first time I see something like this!”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, I always lived in the city. Whenever I looked at the sky all I saw was clouds or smog. I mean, I’ve seen the stars before but this is something else”
Luke fell silent making Ryu impatient. After a good minute of complete silence Ryu pushed Bob with his body moving him just enough to nudge on Luke prompting him to speak.
“You see the moon and the stars, right? well, I don’t know what those colorful clouds are, but they look amazing”
The sky was adorned with glimmering stars and even some nebulas that were visible to the naked eye.
“It’s also different, I don’t know much about constellations, but I’m certain these are not the same stars from my world, I can’t recognize a single one. Never before have I seen a green star or one as big as that one”
Despite Ryu not being able to see where was Luke pointing at, he was somehow able to tell exactly what he meant. There were stars in the sky that were obviously bigger than the rest.
“Hey Luke, do you think it’s possible that we were abducted by aliens?”
“Oh! I didn’t think of that! If that were the case we would be the first men to ever contact aliens!”
“Aliens?”
Ryu was at a loss, he couldn’t follow their conversation at all.
“People from outside of the planet are called aliens, but they never found any”
“I don’t think they would appreciate that, I hated whenever Anne called me a native”
“Yeah, Luke, that’s probably offensive”
“Who cares if it’s offensive, I got more important things to worry about”
“Like what for example?”
Ryu asked without much interest in what he had to say, it was most likely something like becoming a hero or slaying a mythical beast, his usual hero fantasy blabber. But, instead of saying anything Luke pointed at the distance.
There was nothing but a regular fence, only instead of surrounding a villa it was encircling an area behind a small cabin. The cabin had two entrances next to each other, one of which had a blue curtain and the other had a red one. It wasn’t as big as the villas, so it was most likely a changing room, but what Ryu was able to see wasn’t nearly as important as he was able to hear. There was a strange sound in the distance, like a giggling, and the muffled sounds of a happy conversation, whatever it was, it could only mean one thing: the girls were over there.
