Chapter 113 Divine Scholar II
\'Really, I don\'t get it. How can people change their view of someone so quickly?\' Dustin thought to himself, standing before Rea who literally had stars in her eyes, though she tried to maintain composure.
It didn\'t take long before Dustin learned of the new image he had at his own house, one of a Revered Lord!
He was sure these slaves turned servants were not always in the best of mood before, but now even he could feel a certain pride they gave off, simply because they could serve under him. It was truly eye opening. This was truly new.
In the end, Dustin realized where it even originated from, and it was Rea. Though, since the slaves were natives and knew just how important those given the title of scholars were, not to talk less of a divine one, the effect on them was amplified.
\'I turned into a hidden tiger overnight… Heh.\'
As the excitement everyone felt was so much, Dustin decided there was no reason not to allow it. He would not actively put up some image, but then he wouldn\'t stop them. There was no harm done. As long as he wasn\'t called divine doctor and had no one coming to him for treatment of some ancient curse, it was ok.
"Heh… Alright.." Dustin said lazily, feeling exhaustion from the situation.
"Yes! What will I be learning today, teacher!" Rea responded, energetically. Maybe a bit too much energy. This time she really couldn\'t hide the expression on her face, as her cheeks raised high from how wide her mouth had become from simply smiling.
\'I might give up half way, really. Hah, Sil, your brother is dying…\'
"Calm yourself. You need to be calm in order to learn properly. This isn\'t physical education class."
"Understood!" Rea responded, with a serious excited expression.
"Don\'t be so loud!" Dustin emphasized.
He began the lesson and really did his best to put her through. Much to his surprise, he was quite the teacher! With his guidance, she had actually gotten past the bottleneck that had been holding her behind! Though, there was no significant breakthrough in her magic class.
What Dustin focused on at first was her energy flow and how she utilized mana. He could see that she had quite the potential. All that was needed was to draw it out. Seeing as she had already spent most of the years wasting at the first beginning town, more like the beginner\'s village, Dustin wasn\'t sure if he would be able to draw out her full potential in time. But of one thing was certain, he realized that he actually could do it.
\'But this girl, something\'s not entirely right. The frequency her soul gives off is a bit weird and abnormal. I can tell that much. There\'s definitely more to her.\'
Of course, he didn\'t just get the rumour going by mistake. Being someone that had combed the library clean, he certainly wasn\'t an ordinary man again. He himself could now be considered a tome of knowledge.
That being said, Rea\'s case now reminded him of a particular book he had read, but he would need more evidence before he could conclude.
"Maybe it\'s destiny that we met." Dustin said softly, and to himself.
"You said something? Am I doing it wrongly?"
"No, I was just speaking to myself, carryon!"
.
.
After a week of guidance, Rea had made plenty of progress. She had not become a B rank mage or anything, but she was a complete shadow of her former self.
\'A baby has learned to run, now I just have to guide her into adulthood.\' Dustin thought to himself. He was really getting the teacher vibes.
\'I also have to study her closely for that matter, but for now it\'s alright.\'
This past week, Dustin had been feeling that he was becoming too relaxed and needed to exercise himself a bit. If nothing else, he saw himself as one with a fighting spirit. \'I\'m certainly still too young to rest now.\'
With combing the library of all the available knowledge and guiding Rea, he truly had spent much time outside the fighting and the likes. Even his summons would feel too stiff now.
\'What would people think if they find out I also have a dragon?\' Dustin thought to himself, snickering at the notion. It would be chaos.
With the state of mind he was in, Dustin soon left for a bit of an adventure. Maybe some monster extermination or something similar would do the trick.
The first place Dustin visited was a no brainer. This was where anyone would go during these times. Dustin stepped into the adventurers guild building in the city, looking to find a suitable quest he do.
When one stepped into the building, they would simply have to head towards the big board where missions and tasks are pinned. After finding one they wanted, they would then hand it over to mission place and get the mission assigned to them. This very different from how it was back when they first arrived at the beginner village.
Of course, there were some rules in place to make sure people didn\'t go on suicide missions and such, but to one like Dustin, it was useless.
But alas, the problems that plague the strong… They were strong.
There was no mission above B rank at the board at that moment, and there hadn\'t been one in a while. There was no hope.
Seeing this, Dustin went to those that approved missions and asked if anything of a higher rank was available, but there was none.
With the way the situation was, Dustin left and gathered some information around the city for a bit before departing.
\'It should take me about half a day to arrive there, not bad.\' Dustin thought, as he sped off into the forest.
After doing a bit of information gathering, Dustin felt like Altair, he was able to piece together small talks from all over and make a solid judgment.
There were certain places inhabited by monsters that don\'t come as requests in the guild regularly. This was because it only came during certain times as a kind of event.
One of these places was located west of the city far into the forests, and was the closest. There had been talks of it affecting the city soon, as the monsters in that area were Orcs, and they liked being at odds with all other races. It was only a matter of time before they attacked the human settlement living nearby.
Seeing this, Dustin actually felt that he was going to be doing the public a great service for free.
This was supposed to be a very dangerous area, and although Dustin had no idea how strong these monsters would be, he could only pray for them to at least be enough for practice.
