Chapter 334 - Unrelated By Blood
"Why do you think that?" Aiden asked softly.
"My mother never betrayed my father. If I'm not my father's daughter, then I'm not my mother's daughter either. Then who exactly am I?" Tears streamed down Anya's face.
Aiden didn't know how to cheer up Anya. Diana insisted that Anya was Deny's daughter. But if what he guessed was true, it meant that Anya might not be blood-related to Deny or Diana.
He hugged Anya's body gently and said patiently. "We can find out everything after confirming it. After the result comes out, you will know why your mother fell into a coma again,"
"I don't have anyone. If my mother isn't my real mother, I will…"
"You still have me," Aiden bowed his head to kiss the top of Anya's head, then her eyelids and tears. "Don't cry. I will always be by your side,"
Anya looked at her mother who was still lying on the bed. Her tears were still dripping as she asked, "When will the result come out if I take the test now?"
"Maybe tomorrow morning..." Aiden replied.
Anya was silent for a moment, wondering if she should do it. For her, this was a big decision.
She finally said, "Alright. I agree to undergo the test,"
Aiden thought this problem was serious, so after telling a nurse to take Anya and Diana's blood sample, he drove her to Dartha Hospital herself.
Around eleven in the evening, Anya and Aiden arrived at the underground parking lot of the hospital. Before leaving for Dartha Hospital, they changed their clothes to simpler clothes, so that no one else or the media would find out about this matter.
Because after all, this matter involved influential families in this city…
They also used cars with fake number plates to avoid others' suspicion.
This month, September, the weather was still a little hot, and yet to enter the rainy season. But somehow, Anya felt cold.
Tirta said that their blood samples had been sent to the laboratory and it took eight hours to get the result. So he told Anya and Aiden to go home to rest.
Aiden felt Anya's whole body tensing at the thought of the test results. He held Anya's hand gently and said, "Let's go home first. We can come back here again tomorrow morning."
"I want to wait here. I don't want to go home," Anya shook her head and refused to go home.
Seeing this, Tirta said, "There is a VIP room reserved for family members on the top floor. You can stay in that room overnight. As soon as the result comes out, I will immediately inform you,"
Aiden obeyed Anya who insisted on waiting for the results and decided to stay overnight at the hospital.
Aiden and Anya rested in the top floor of the hospital's room, but Anya couldn't even close her eyes. Aiden could only hug her as he leaned his head on the head of the bed, waiting for the test result.
"What will you do if the result isn't as you expected?" Aiden asked.
"I really hope the result says what I want. I wish I'm really my mother's daughter. And even though the result doesn't match, I'd still be my mother's daughter," Anya said in a low voice.
"If that's the case, would you like to find them?" Aiden didn't say it outright, but Anya could understand who Aiden meant.
Anya's real parents…
Anya bit her lip and thought for a long time. She finally replied, "My mother doesn't have anyone in this world besides me and she can't lose me anymore. Even though I am not my mother's daughter, I will not leave my mother just to find my biological parents. I don't want to betray my mother,"
"You don't want to know your real parents?"
Anya's expression was blank. "I don't want to find them,"
Aiden didn't say much anymore, because he was afraid that Anya would be confused.
Anya really hoped that she was her mother's daughter.
If the result turned out that she's not her mother's daughter, then who exactly was she? Indah once lost her daughter and Anya was very similar to Keara…
Wasn't that very easy to conclude? Even so, Anya didn't want to think about it.
The night slowly reached dawn, Anya finally fell asleep in Aiden's arms because she was too tired.
…
At exactly five in the morning, someone knocked on their door. Anya was still sleeping soundly. Due to fatigue and thinking about the problem with the test result, she could not sleep until dawn.
Meanwhile, Aiden was used to being awake and heard the sound of a soft knock on the door. He immediately opened his eyes warily.
Anya was still in his arms. He slowly raised his hand and put Anya's head on the pillow, then covered her body.
Aiden walked out of the room and saw Tirta standing in the corridor. He stared at Aiden's face a little awkwardly. "The result is out,"
"Not blood related?" Aiden could tell just by looking at the expression on Trita's face.
"Right. Anya has no blood relationship with Deny or Diana," Tirta said with serious expression. Then, he gave the test report to Aiden.
Aiden glanced at it and then said in a serious voice, "I want to come up with new test results. Just say that Anya has a relationship with Diana, but not blood related to Deny,"
"Aiden, don't you want to tell Anya the truth so she can find out where her parents are?" Tirta asked in surprise.
"I talked to her last night. She will not leave her mother, no matter what the outcome is. Even though the results did not match her expectations, she did not want to look for her parents because she felt it would be a betrayal of her mother who had taken care of her since she was a child," Aiden said.
Tirta cleared his throat softly and said, "Indah also lost her daughter. Anya looked very much like Keara. Is it possible…"
"That's enough for Anya," Aiden interrupted.
"Okay," Tirta didn't ask many questions and immediately did what Aiden wanted.
The morning was very calm. After Tirta left, Aiden returned to his room, back on the bed as if nothing had happened. He hugged Anya back into his arms.
At past seven in the morning, Anya woke up from sleep and found Aiden still asleep in her arms. She shook Aiden's body slowly. "Aiden, wake up..."
Aiden opened his eyes lazily and asked in a low voice, "Has anyone come?"
"No, has the result come out yet?" Anya took her cellphone on the table and looked at the clock. "Yesterday, the test was done at 11pm. If it takes eight hours, the results should come out soon,"
As soon as she said it, Anya heard a knock on the door. "Sir, the result is out."
"The result is out!" Anya immediately draped her blanket and hastily got out of bed.
"Wash your face first in the bathroom," Aiden said.
Anya immediately stopped moving. If Aiden hadn't reminded her, she would have probably rushed out in a hurry, ignoring her messy hair.
Anya looked at her husband and realized that Aiden's shirt also looked wrinkled. She then combed her disheveled hair with her fingers.
They immediately came out of the room once they finished preparing. Meanwhile, someone came and quickly cleaned the room because Ivan would use it next.
Anya went to see the result of her DNA test accompanied by Aiden. When she was about to enter the room, she suddenly stopped walking.
"Aiden, I... I don't dare," Anya felt even more panicked. She was afraid to see the result.
And she was even more afraid if she wasn't her mother's real daughter...
