Chapter 25 - Save Or Edit
Mitch let out a sigh too. She was very worried for Brione.
"It\'s almost time," said Brione and after a few minutes, they heard the doorbell. Mitch was the one who opened it.
"Manager Ruth?" Brione whispered, seeing Manager Ruth approach her.
"Miss Brione, I\'m sorry to inform you that there\'s an urgent matter so His Royal Highness The Prince won\'t be able to see you. But he asked me to make sure you have a good time on the beach together with your crew and staff. If you plan to swim on the beach you are free to choose any swimwear from here. We will provide the swimwear for everyone," Manager Ruth said and then signaled the employee to bring forth the swimwears.
"What happened to the Prince? I mean is it okay to know where he is now?" It was Berry who asked the question because she knew her Boss wanted to know.
Brione glared at Berry before she looked at Manager Ruth and gave her an apologetic look, "I\'m sorry about my assistant. She asks too many questions."
Manager Ruth smiled and said, "It\'s okay Miss Brione. The Prince had to leave the island to visit the Royal Palace because His Majesty The King asked for his presence because of an urgent matter. But he wanted me to give you his personal mobile number and inform you that you could call him anytime you want. I have already sent the number to your phone, Miss Brione."
Her mobile phone was still on silent and she had not bothered to look at it yet since Berry and Mitch occupied almost an hour of her rest time.
Brione nodded at Manager Ruth and said, "I will look at it and save his number."
"Manager Ruth… How come the swimwear are all rash guards?" Berry, who was looking for Brione\'s and her size from the clothes rail, questioned.
Manager Ruth gulped and said, "Uhm, we have this rule where everyone is only allowed to wear rash guards in the swimming areas, whether it is the beach or the swimming pool."
Mitch eyed Manager Ruth suspiciously as she inquired, "Huh? But just this morning I saw some people wearing swimsuits, like one-piece and two-piece bikinis?"
Manager Ruth had an awkward smile as she quickly answered, "Oh yes, that is because the rule was recently implemented."
\'Yes, in fact, it was so recent that it was implemented by the possessive owner of the island this morning!\' Manager Ruth added in her mind.
"Oh, I see. I guess someone doesn\'t want people to wear any daring swimwear or rather a particular person who is..." Berry halted when Mitch elbowed her.
Manager Ruth only smiled and said, "Please feel free to take any rash guard you want. They will be available at all times so you and your team can get them from the reception whenever they want to swim."
"For free? You mean whenever we want to swim and want some rash guards we can get it and won\'t have to return it?" Berry confirmed with her once again because the rash guards were all branded and expensive.
"Yes, Miss Berry," Manager Ruth replied. Then she looked at Brione and said, "If you or your team need anything please do not hesitate to ask. His Highness The Prince particularly instructed me to make sure that you are well attended to while he is not around. If you want to tour the island, I will make arrangements for everything. The manual is placed over there so you can also choose the activities you want to do."
"I see, that means Cedric, I mean His Highness, it will take a long time for him to come back right?" Brione asked.
Manager Ruth nodded while she said, "Yes, there\'s a possibility that it will take him a few days to return Miss Brione."
Brione did not know what to feel. She was supposed to be glad and relieved, right? She would not have the overbearing man around her for the next few days. She should rejoice in happiness!
But somehow she was feeling disappointed and…
Brione deliberately shook the thought out of her mind along with the awkward feeling in her.
Manager Ruth left the room and Brione was left on the couch with a conflicted expression.
"Boss, are you disappointed?" Berry teased and Brione could only roll her eyes at Berry. She grabbed her phone and looked at it.
"You two have filled my notification with your missed calls and messages. Geez. " Brione complained as she skipped messages from them and opened the file that Manager Ruth had sent.
"Seriously?" Brione scoffed after seeing how the number was named once she saved it.
"What happened?" Mitch asked. Brione\'s face flushed as she quickly said, "Oh nothing. I will go to the bedroom and get some rest. I\'m not in the mood to go swimming right now."
Manager Ruth and Berry exchanged meaningful glances as they looked at Brione walking to her bedroom.
"What do you think happened?" Mitch asked Berry who had a sharp sense pertaining to Brione\'s mood.
"Well, it\'s probably about The Prince\'s number. Or maybe the Prince messaged her directly instead of waiting for her text. Or she\'s disappointed for not having a peek at his butt?" Berry commented while still going through the swimwear.
Her face twitched as she whined, "Argh, but seriously! Why can\'t we wear our bikinis? Can\'t The Prince implement that rule only to Brione and spare us? I mean I brought a nice bikini to just wear here and take some selfies!"
Mitch laughed and said, "More guys will drool for you once they see you wear expensive and luxurious swimwear like these, okay? So save your nice bikini for another occasion."
Meanwhile, Brione was still staring at her mobile phone as she threw her body on the bed.
"Should I save it like this or edit it? Save or edit?" she murmured but in the end, she just saved it as she had received it. She then wondered if she would ever reach the point of her calling him. But why would she call him?
She ended up calling her brother instead, "Big Bro…"
"Yes, Brione? Are you alright there? Is everything good?" Noah asked with a worried tone, even though he always monitors Brione through Mitch and knew that she was fine.
Brione chuckled and said, "I\'m good Big Bro, I just wanted to know if it\'s possible to get more details about Gavin\'s birth? And I mean every single detail about him without Uncle Damiel\'s knowledge?"
