Chapter 182 Fight To Death, Hitori: 2
His hand reached his neck from his chest, then he squeezed his neck, creases formed under his hand, and the veins on the back of his hand popped. If he was wearing a piece of cloth around his neck, he would have torn it.
His blunt nails dug into his neck, blood flowed down his nails, his fingers, and reached the back of his forearm.
He rolled on the ground, he then shouted and jerked from one side to the other. He was dipped in mud, unknown to him, the electricity flowed through the water.
Kuzu reached for his brain but before he could scratch his hair, a bolt of electricity surged through his body. Since his head was not wet, the electricity started frying him alive.
Onogi grabbed his head. "No, no!" he moaned. Onogi looked around him.
He could not find anything, he could not think. This was not in the plan, this was never supposed to happen, Kuzu was frying alive, what should I do?
Onogi decided to unplug the source. He turned to the wire again when a strange smell entered his nose.
He cringed, pinched his nose, and stepped back. That was an unbearable smell. It was a steaky and putrid smell as if an animal was being fried over a barbeque grill without shedding its hair.
Onogi looked at Kamiya. Smoke was coming out of everywhere. His hair was on fire, there was a river of blood coming from his mouth into the water.
Kuzu continued twitching and jerking around like a fish. His hands fell into the mud, the electricity burned his blonde hair. The fire took his scalp and the electricity started burning his skin from the outside.
Onogi picked the wooden log he was going to use to break the connection of the wires. It took the thick log towards the wires. There was rubber wrapped at the end, for extra protection from the high voltage.
Kuzu\'s screams still rang in his ears. He raised the log above his head when he reached the sizzling wires.
Only if Kuzu\'s head was wet, he would have died the way Kamiya did– not such a terrible death.
Burns formed on Kuzu\'s hands and stomach. The battlesuit could do nothing to him when he was soaked in the mud.
At first, the battlesuit reduced the effect to some degree, but when a thousand volts of electricity took over, his battlesuit burned with him.
Onogi smashed the log on the wires, he felt a slight jolt, but he ignored it and pushed the wires with the help of the log.
Electricity still flowed through them, they were like high magnetic fields attacked to each other and refusing to let go.
Onogi banged the log over the wires, then he crushed them. Onogi had kept the log dry, but it turned out not to be a good conductor of electricity, the rubber on the front caught the electricity.
He was beating at the junction, at the connection, it was obvious the 1000 volts would flow through it after a few seconds. The sizzle burned the rubber and now it mixed with the smell of Kamiya and Kuzu\'s burning flesh.
It smelled as if an aminal\'s leather was being tanned over a fire, it was a different smell from what it comes when we grill chicken or rabbit.
Onogi dropped the log and covered his nose. "I might throw up," he said.
He fell to the other side, the smell was getting stronger, and they were burning to their last bone. The flesh had melted, and the bones were set on the voltage.
Suddenly, Kuzu\'s screams faded. Onogi rose from the ground, he turned to Kuzu– he was not jerking around. He was lying on the ground with electricity and smoke coming out of his bones.
"Erabu…" Onogi pulled his gun, he turned to the wires and fired at them. He fired a whole mag, he went for another.
The wires were moving further away from each other. Onogi finished firing the second round and when he was about to load the third round, a wire bounced off the ground.
A thick beam of electricity still connected the wires. Onogi threw his gun at the wire, it stopped it from connecting, but the gun jumped around with electricity.
It had been over the time limit. The gun just passed through the wires and it caught electricity– even when the gun was made of bones of monsters. If it is not stopped anytime soon, the electricity would flow through the water puddles around the dungeon and electrode the dead wizard\'s body and Onogi.
Onogi rushed the wires, they were falling to connect again. He found the log near them, he raced towards it.
Onogi first thought of kicking it but rejected the idea of kicking a seventy-pound wooden log. He picked the log and landed a hit on the wires.
The wire wrapped around Kamiya\'s mouth finally lost its connection and fell on the other side, away from the water puddle, safe this time.
Onogi lost his balance, he fell to the ground over the log. The wire was still sparking with electricity, the flow from the fence had stopped, hence the voltage was not high enough to pass through the log.
Onogi sat on his knees, panting for air, inhaling the smell. He grabbed his head and turned to Kamiya, he was lying dead.
He was killed in the end, it was not the electricity that killed him, it was the curse that made him go through severe pain before killing him.
"Erabu!" Onogi shouted as he reached Kuzu.
Onogi scrapped his knees on in the mud, he felt a sizzling shock that threw him away from Kuzu\'s body.
Onogi sat there, helplessly. The smell near Kuzu was so thick that it almost felt more like a taste in his mouth than a smell in his nose.
He heard a rumbling sound around him. The ground underneath and above him started shaking. The walls crumbled by his side and he saw a staircase.
He got up, he knew what was this, the dungeon was deforming. The wizard who created it, the boss of this dungeon, was dead. The dungeon was supposed to deform, but not this early.
He stared at the staircase without moving. Rocks fell from above and side. Onogi looked at Kuzu.
His body was covered in burns, a fire was lightened around the corners, the rest extinguished in water.
Onogi lifted his hands near Kuzu, he felt a strong electric field around Kuzu that prevented Onogi from touching him, he feared if he did force through the field, he would lose his life, too.
"You fought, Erabu, you will be remembered."
He took a last glance at Kamiya. His wand was sitting by his side, covered in blood. Even after removing the connection, electricity continued flowing.
Onogi closed his heart and took the staircase. Better escape or Kuzu\'s death would be for nothing.
