Chapter 734: Moon Grass

Lu Li spent so much time harvesting Moon Grass that Sesame Rice Ball was able to level his Alchemy all the way to Lv260.

The failure rate for Alchemy was lower than the other professions, so Lu Li was able to receive two Moon Grass Potions.

"I’ll buy you a meal next time," Lu Li thanked him as he patted him on his back in gratitude.

Sesame Rice Ball was the first expert Alchemist in the guild. He was able to reach such a high level and he had done it even faster than the players who focused all their time on Alchemy. What was even more impressive was that he had achieved this without falling behind in levels. Lu Li knew that accepting him into the guild was the right move.

With the two bottles of Moon Grass Potion in his hands, he teleported to Moonlight Forest.

"You’re telling me that these potions will solve the problems my people have faced for years?"

Remulos was very doubtful and thought that he had made a mistake in trusting Lu Li. How dare the little brat try to fool him with some potions?

In reality, the Grove Keeper never believed in him from the beginning, nor did any of the other Worgens.

They had only given out the quest because the System had designed them to. Without this quest, the players would never encounter a Worgen face-to-face in the game.

"There’s nothing wrong with trying," Lu Li said casually, not putting much effort into persuading him.

This made Remulos even more unsure and he began doubting his decision. His subconscious was telling him that the Worgen’s troubles and problems would not be so easily solved.

When the Worgen transformed into werewolves, they lost all sense of self and control, revealing their uncontrollable, savage nature to harm and destroy anything in their path. After turning back to humanoid form, they wouldn’t even remember what they had done.

However, they were aware of their transformation – the pain was excruciating because their body structures were completely altered. When they transformed, they would lose their consciousness and rationality, much like when people faint. Parts of the brain would shut down, while areas that regulated hormones and controlled primitive instincts continued to work, resulting in a hollow body of destruction.

The pain could be tolerated, but for inherently peaceful Druids, it was unacceptable for them to cause meaningless harm towards others. They would rather quarantine themselves and guard over the Bloodfang Keeps.

Remulos teleported Lu Li to the Bloodfang Pridelands.

Krug Bloodfang was resting when he felt their presence as they arrived. He opened his eyes and calculated the time that had passed and realized that it had only been three weeks since his last visit.

"My friend, you shouldn’t step onto the holy grounds of the Worgen so regularly."

Remulos gracefully approached the Great Lord and said with a bitter smile, "Though I do not believe him, this is my friend and he has claimed to have solved your worries."

"Solved my worries?" Krug Bloodfang was also very doubtful, but managed to control his temper and looked at Lu Li expectantly.

After days and nights of failure, disappointment and pain, the Bloodfang Druid had become an extremely impatient and bitter person. However, he had to at least give Lu Li a chance based on the effort he had put in.

He was able to find a solution after three weeks, meaning that he was proactive and did not slack off.

"This is the Moon Grass Potion that I found. Based on an ancient record, it has the power to appease and pacify the soul," Lu Li said confidently, then continued, "If this doesn’t solve the problem, then I don’t know what will. I’ll give up on the quest if this fails."

"I need to test this on others if you don’t mind," Krug said as he waved his hand and summoned two younger-looking Worgen.

One of them transformed from a Blood Elf to a wolf that kept certain human features. He suffered excruciating pain from the process of transformation and was shaking in distress.

Right after he transformed, his blood-red eyes focused straight onto Lu Li, who was the closest person. Lu Li could tell that he was about to be ripped into shreds.

"Bind."

Krug waved his hand and the Worgen was completely wrapped up by thick vines which grew up from the earth. He then casted another spell which put him into a deep sleep.

After this, he gave one of the potions to the other Worgen.

The other Worgen took off the cap without hesitation and drank the light blue liquid, not leaving a single drop behind.

A few minutes later, when the effects began to kick in, he began transforming into a werewolf as well. Remulos, Krug, Lu Li and the other Worgens watched expectantly.

They had their hopes up despite being disappointed several times in the past.

The Bloodfang Druids never gave up on having hope. They eagerly awaited the day when they would be able to walk through Azeroth freely without fear of causing damage and destruction upon the land.

The first Worgen transformed and became a senseless animal.

The potion appeared to have at least eased the pain of the transformation. This gave Krug hope and he became more trusting of Lu Li’s solution.

After the second Worgen transformed, he appeared to be... perplexed.

This was possibly the first time he had ever been in this form while being completely conscious. He looked down at the sharp claws on his hands, the thick black fur that covered his body, and his athletic limbs and body.

"Zuck, you..."

This time it wasn’t the Worgen that was trembling; it was the Bloodfang Lord.

The old Druid wanted to reach out to touch him, but was too scared to do so. He had already prepared his binding spells to restrain the werewolf, but what happened left him in complete disbelief.

"My Lord, I think I’m... completely conscious. My name is Zuck," the second werewolf stammered.

"Yes, my child. I believe you."

Krug opened up the other potion and couldn’t wait to experience what it felt like to be completely conscious while transformed.

Lu Li became very nervous because he had no idea whether the potion would work on a Boss. Krug was not the strongest creature in Azeroth, but he was still someone that Lu Li had to respect.

Fortunately, the game did not fail him.

Whether they were a normal Worgen or a Boss-level Worgen, the potion worked perfectly.
