The Empyreal Gem Master

It was a terrifying Ability Gem.

A rare one at that too as if Branch Leader Neiman had not met Alexander, he would have continued to be a force to be reckoned on the battlefield!

But the bombardment of lightning and glaciers had taken him off guard at the heavy cost of his life as now, it fell on Alexander’s hands.

Basically, this Gem could allow one to bind any Life Form- whether that be a Human Being or a Beast of Corruption, and any Support Ability Gems added to this Gem to make a Recipe…would also allow one to bind more Life Forms.

So depending on how many Gem Sockets one had…this would be the limit on the number of bound Minions.

Branch Leader Neiman was only a Four-Link Gem Master as he had four Beasts of Corruption bound.

But as his Enneagram began to pulse with brilliance, Alexander wondered…how many support Gems would light up for this Ability Gem? How many minions would it allow him to bind?!

After the Main Ability Gem was Socketed, his Enneagram released a low hum as from the pointed ends, 6 faint circles shone.

Six possible Support Ability Sockets.

The same number of possible slots as the Corrupted Lightning Manipulation Ability Gem!

And to fill these slots, there were already the three Support Ability Gems he had looted from the dead Branch Leader Neiman.

As he stood on top of a frozen Golden Flame Lion, with his father floating in the skies and grimly staring at the powerful auras of Tier 4 Beasts coming out of the Den of Corruption, his mind worked rapidly to look at all the information.

[Enhanced Minion Lifeforce Support]::...The supported ability gains a 50% increase in the life force of all Minions or Summoned Life Forms.

[Frenzy Support]:: ...The supported Ability gains the chance to trigger an Onslaught of Frenzy whenever you or nearby allies kill an enemy. In the state of Frenzy, Life Force and offensive capabilities are increased by a factor of 2.

Alexander thought of the information these Support Ability Gems showed as he was a little disappointed.

These Support Ability Gems…not all of them seemed to have high utility.

The only one he directly socketed onto a Support slot was the [Enhanced Minion Life Support] as the other two didn’t make it!

Alexander looked at the small mountain of Support Ability Gems in his Isolated Space that he had obtained from all the Black Furred Gorillas he had killed in the Jungle Grounds, as well as the Support Ability Gems that he looted from the recently killed Flame Hound, Lightning Sparrow, and dozens of other Beasts of Corruption.

Among them…he remembered some that might have even more terrifying effects if he linked them together into an utterly ridiculous Recipe!

But there was little time.

He would have to do it simultaneously while he battled as with the Minion Manipulation Ability Gem already on his chest with a single Support Gem, he turned his attention to the Golden Flame Lion below him that was half frozen.

A crimson skull had now risen above it after sharing the splash damage that its Master had taken.

Alexander stood above its half-frozen head, looking into its buzzing golden eyes and its dim chest as he raised his foot.

His foot which turned into crackling crimson lightning a moment later as he spoke out in heavy tone.

"Will you accept death or submission?"

Death or submission.

It was a heavy option, but every living thing wanted to live!

Before the Golden Flame Lion could even reply though…

BOOM!

Alexander’s leg smashed down on its head, thunderous crimson lightning blasting onto it and shattering some of the ice still climbing over its body as it became dazed.

And his voice echoed out again coldly.

"Death, or submission?"

It felt cold.

It felt chilling.

The Golden Flame Lion instinctively knew that this question would not come again as it couldn’t help but whimper.

Its eyes turned down in submission!

A moment after, Alexander’s chest shone with a dim golden radiance that flowed into the brain and chest of the Beast of Corruption below him, not an ounce of resistance present as soon enough, he felt a faint connection forming between him and something else.

A connection of absolute loyalty to another life form.

[The Tier 4 Golden Flame Lion has been successfully bound into the Minion Manipulation Ability Gem.]

The monotone voice of the Enneagram echoed out in his mind as this time, it didn’t stop there.

[Would you like for me to automatically Socket Support Gems with high compatibility with the Minion Manipulation Ability Gem from those within the Isolated Storage Space?]

His Enneagram could even do this? This was one less thing he would have to focus on and try to do in the middle of battle as it would likely be even more efficient than him, so he gave the command.

’Do it.’

At the same time, the glacial Frost around the Golden Flame Lion broke as Alexander stood on its golden mane freely.

He stared coldly at the Arctic Wolf that had lost its Master and the other Beasts nearby, as well as the astonished gazes of Branch Leader Julius and Axel above, along with all other Gem Masters!

The Human Galanis Bloodline Gem Masters looked towards Alexander in fright.

But his momentum was just building up as he didn’t wait for the unknown Tier 4 Beasts rushing from the Den of Corruption to even arrive, the Golden Flame Lion below him roaring out and releasing a Golden Flame Spear towards the Arctic Wolf that was its ally not too long ago, while Alexander turned into crimson lightning that surged right above it even quicker.

BOOM!

Vibrant shields of ice formed around the Arctic Wolf, but they were all shattered as Alexander linked multiple strikes of Corrupted Lightning on it- his voice ringing out coldly moments after as the fur of this Arctic Wolf began to stain red with blood.

"Death, or Submission?!"
