Chapter 69: 69:Loyalty Contract
Ryan came from a well-off family where his father wanted him to become a doctor or lawyer, but he failed in those areas. He wasn\'t good at studying and found it hard to sit still in one place and concentrate. Instead, he preferred physical tasks.
His dream was to become a fighter, but when he ended up jobless and was scrutinized by both his parents and relatives, he ran away.
He tried to break into the fighting world of boxing and UFC but found himself lacking.
Though in some way or the other, a series of coincidences led him here. Initially, Evan was a profitable client, but the job he requested was odd and outside the services their agency would usually offer.
Ryan wasn\'t just a detective in a private organization; he was a core staff member and had a hand in its foundation.
Despite the significant risks, they were earning a decent amount of money. They already had four ongoing lawsuits against them and had settled with one of them who had filed a lawsuit against them.
Standing by the window, Ryan\'s gaze fell on the hovering clouds over the hill, followed by an endless row of vegetation.
His heart shook a bit.
Knowing Evan, Ryan was sure that soon this entire place might be his.
The area was a bit cold even for tea plants, so the harvest was often destroyed by dew drops or snow drizzle.
"I wonder why he was looking for such a place to plant trees when there are other good tea plantations in the northeastern regions. Can I really manage such a place? If a disaster strikes and these tea plants are destroyed, won\'t I be the one who has to bear the brunt?"
At this point, Ryan could only sigh and let nature take its course.
.....
The next day…
Evan and Ryan arrived at Motilal Estate, a vast property that spanned across the foothills. The estate\'s grandeur was visible from the entrance, with its meticulously manicured lawns and elegant architecture standing out against the clear and sunny sky.
Inside the opulent study, Evan and Ryan went through the final steps of the transaction. Over the course of five days, the necessary paperwork was meticulously reviewed and finalized before it was filed with local authorities. The transfer of funds was also completed seamlessly, and all legal procedures were set in motion.
On the sixth day, Evan and Ryan returned to the estate to finalize the deal. Sam Motilal, the estate\'s owner, was waiting in his study.
The atmosphere was formal yet cordial as they reviewed the complete documentation. Sam signed the papers, and Evan handed over the bank draft confirming the transaction.
The transfer was now complete. As the formalities drew to a close, Evan and Sam exchanged a few pleasantries.
"It\'s been a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Motilal," Evan said, shaking Sam\'s hand firmly.
"Likewise, Evan. I trust you\'ll make the most of this estate," Sam replied with a nod.

Evan and Ryan then returned to Motilal estate to inspect the tea farming operations. They drove up the winding path to the eastern side of the property, where the land was elevated and much colder compared to other tea plantations in the region.
The higher altitude and chilly temperatures had created a landscape that would be frequently marred by heavy dew drops, which was a significant factor for the estate\'s reduced tea yields.
The two men shivered as a very chilly gust of wind blew, followed by a thick veil of fog that obscured their vision.
As the two surveyed the fields, the misty air clung to their clothes, while Ryan\'s breath began forming visible puffs thanks to the cool morning air.
Despite being neatly aligned, the tea plants showed signs of distress from the recent dew damage as the once promising crops seemed to struggle under the weight of harsh climatic conditions.
Observing the withered leaves and the unseasonal frost that had caused significant damage, Ryan turned to Evan with a concerned frown.
"Will this place really be alright?" he asked, his eyes narrowing slightly. His voice carried a trace of unease, and his brows were furrowed as he continued, "I have a bad feeling about this."
Evan, who had been inspecting the plants with a thoughtful expression, glanced at Ryan, his face showing a mixture of determination and reassurance.
"We knew the risks coming in," Evan said, placing a reassuring hand on Ryan\'s shoulder and continued.
"But there are ways to mitigate these issues. We\'ll need to invest in frost protection measures and possibly look into better varieties of tea that can withstand these conditions."
There were some other things Evan didn\'t divulge to him. This estate was in fact the best place to grow Spirit Vitalizing Tea. The cold and misty temperature here was perfect.
Though his expression remained tense, Ryan nodded, "I hope you\'re right. The last thing we need is another setback."
Evan gave him a reassuring smile, his eyes radiating confidence. "We\'ll adapt and find solutions. This place has potential, and we just need to make the right adjustments."
Finishing things, Evan prepared to bring the samples of Spirit Vitalizing Tea. Trucks with blast chillers carrying samples arrived the next day.
It took almost 20 big trucks to transport everything, during which Evan had already sweated tons.
He had forgotten about the geographic location and the structure of the road. The sampling and method he had was in the system and needed to be taken out but Evan didn\'t dare to take it out of the system at this place to avoid arousing suspicion, so before departing he had already taken numerous measures.
Thankfully, everything went well, and no truck fell down the mountain terrain.
Next, Ryan arranged the workers who had been working here previously and led them to their new employer.
Meanwhile, Evan pulled out a stack of paper or a contract specifically that could have a huge impact.
[Loyalty Contract]
Upon signing, the other party couldn\'t disclose any information about the employer\'s to others and any harmful thoughts or intentions would be conveyed to the employer in contract.
