Chapter 38: 38:Vandalism[II]
They were just a group of hooligans who liked to play and being fans of beautiful flowers found a suitable target. Little did they expect someone to appear this early in the morning.
The police moved and imprisoned them. Late at night, Evan visited the station only to see them crying and begging but he just sneered.
Is this a joke or did you think of this as some kind of game?
Aren\'t you Suri fans? Then why don\'t you ask that woman to release them?
"Evan, what do you want to do with them? Should we take charge and imprison them with charges?"Max asked, eyeing the crouching group behind the bars coldly.
Evan rubbed his chin while staring at the broad man. He was sure that if he didn\'t know Uncle Max or if there were any other officers, things might not go in his favor.
"Uncle Max first released them. I want that white face Suri to know how her fans were behaving."
"Good Choice," Max nodded patting Evan, and asked, "What about Celina\'s case, have you thought of something?"
Hearing this, Evan looked around and then whispered in Max\'s ears.
\'I plan to keep that guy cooped. Those two would be shocked after court and try underhanded means and I am sure they would contact this guy so..."
"Ohh!" Max made an exaggerated expression and stared at Evan\'s face…
"Hey, Evan, should I pull some strings and give you a post as a detective or an intelligent officer? Your mind is too crooked and sharp, very much needed by us.."
"..."
Should I take this as a compliment?
...
Coming back home, Evan took a juice can and switched on the TV.
The television flickered with various scenes.
On the screen, images flickered showcasing a familiar figure.
Henna and Migol sat hunched on their worn-out couch on their faces that were etched with sorrow and resentment. The camera, wielded unsteadily, captured every tear and tremble.
Henna\'s voice quivered as she spoke into the lens, "We just can\'t believe that our own sons would abandon us like this. We raised him with love and care, and now, when we need them the most..."
Migol, his voice choked with emotion, continued, "We\'re not asking for much. Just a little support during these trying times. Evan has the means to help us, but he\'s turned his back on his flesh and blood. We lost him during his birth. It was so heartbreaking for us and we desperately searched for him and found him in an orphanage. Since then, we have taken care of him without heart and soul."
The scene shifted to the news anchor, her expression grave as she delivered the latest installment of the Evans family drama to the watching world.
[The Evans family feud has been making headlines for weeks now]she reported, her voice tinged with solemnity.
[Ever since Suri had filed a lawsuit demanding compensation, Evan had broken his contract and with his parents accused them of exploiting his success for their gain. But this latest plea from Henna and Migol has sparked a new wave of controversy.]
As the camera panned out, leaving the troubled family behind, it captured the weight of the situation showcasing a rift tearing apart the very fabric of a once-united family.
In the silence that followed, viewers were left to ponder the complexities of fame and fortune.
"Fucking Hell!"Evan shouted slamming the remote.
"You raised me with what?"
Evan felt something in his heart boiling trying to break free. At this moment he wanted nothing but to kill these two guys.
"Let\'s see just how long you can be smug?"
…..
All useless topics started to trend again. It wasn\'t as big as people were making out; anyone with a little bit of knowledge knew that many people were fuelling it.
MeTubers and News knew how to go with the flow and gain userbase.
They didn\'t care about the results, all that mattered was popularity.
And this badly hit Teabox Cafe\'s business.
Things were escalating much more than expected so Evan had asked them to close the business.
Evan knew that this was a crisis but...
The crisis also highlighted him so as long as he could ride through the crisis, he knew his fame would draw a series of customers.
Leaving that, there was another reason Evan had waited till now.
That was to hire good lawyers. He wanted to hire someone from a good firm.
Best lawyers charged up to 1 million rupees for the day, some even an hour which he couldn\'t afford before.
But now, his shop has made a profit of 9 million rupees. Excluding all other costs he had 7.6 million rupees. The second branch had already been opened while talks of the third branch were on its way.
Sadly, he still wasn\'t able to reach the target profit of 1 million a day and was stuck between 450k suppress.
With his additional income from stock, he had liquid cash of around 10 million. Unlike others, he hadn\'t spent much on luxury.
Despite so much money, except for the suit and business coat, he hadn\'t brought anything for shopping and was still using a bicycle.
Now it was time to spend on real things.
For the past two months, he had been studying lawyers using his insight skills.
And after looking around for a long, he finally found a suitable individual with a good character based on his research.
Name: Abhijeet Chakrovorthy
Skills: Advanced Legal Research and Analysis [95/100], Advanced Contract Drafting and Negotiation [90/100], Advanced counseling [92/100], Advanced Oral Advocacy [90/100]
For a lawyer, the core skills were formed from Litigation strategy, oral advocacy, drafting, and negotiation.
Anyone mastering these three skills could make a good layer. Only judges of higher courts have everything at a professional level with few points of weakness.
Out of everyone, Evan concluded that this guy was the most suitable lawyer who could handle both family and corporate matters.
Also, his Phoenix firm was one the largest firms in the country having many specialized.
Another thing that Evan liked was that, unlike others where they had to make a trip, once Evan contacted them and talked about the money, the man flew from the Dilli NCR, the capital of Indra…
