Chapter 55 Prince Wenrys
Alex didn\'t answer the unknown man\'s question and looked toward Duke Harold\'s reaction to this situation.
"Wenrys, You are bothering my guest." Duke Harold said.
"Mr.One, Please don\'t mind my fiancé\'s rude behavior. He has just become too obsessed with the Blood Basilisk." Lady Esmeralda said.
\'As I thought, he is Lady Esmeralda\'s fiancé.\'
"Let me introduce myself, and then you could tell me the location of my companion beast."
"My name is Wenrys Gavin Magmis, The Fourth Prince of White Flame Empire." The man said proudly.
\'He is a prince of the White Flame Empire?\' Alex was genuinely surprised after hearing about Wenrys\' origin.
\'Well, this is an unexpected meeting with one of the most influential people of the Human continent.\'
"It\'s nice to meet you, Prince Wenrys," Alex said.
"Now we know each other could you tell me the location of Leukos?" Wenrys said back to his original question.
Alex looked toward Duke Harold to ask for permission even though he knew that duke wouldn\'t be angry as he was looking for information to help his son-in-law, but Alex would get the quest reward from the duke, not the prince.
"Prince Wenrys, The location coordinates are recorded in this teleportation marker." After getting a head nod from Duke Harold, Alex took the teleportation marker and gave it to Wenrys.
After getting the teleportation marker with the location coordinates, Wenrys didn\'t waste any time, and he took out a golden teleportation scroll from his space ring, ready to check on the Blood Basilisk.
\'He is really obsessed with making the blood Basilisk his beast companion.\'
"Prince Wenrys, A friendly piece of advice don\'t make too much noise after you teleport to the Leukos location as the Basilisk is going through the process of evolution."
Alex said to make a good impression on Wenrys as he could only gain benefits from a friendship with the price of the only empire of the human continent.
"The Blood Basilisk is Evolving?" Wenrys asked with a surprised look.
"The Blood Basilisk is in deep slumber as his body and bloodline are going through a major process of evolution because he had awakened his Monarch Ancestor\'s Bloodline," Alex said, confused by the obvious question from Wenrys.
"Leukos Awakened a Monarch Ancestor Bloodline?" Wenrys again asked with a shocked and thrilled expression.
\'They didn\'t have a clue that the Blood Basilisk awakened his Monarch Ancestor Bloodline.\' Alex thought after seeing everyone\'s reaction to the information.
\'I missed a great opportunity to get extra rewards.\'
Alex didn\'t react much after seeing the Blood Basilisk going through the process of evolution because he already knew that the Basilisk had his Monarch ancestor bloodline fully awakened from the knowledge of his past life.
A Beast awakening his ancestor\'s bloodline was a big deal as it gave their strength a massive boost but finding a beast who has awakened a Monarch ancestor bloodline was very rare.
Alex just believed that Lady Esmeralda\'s fiancé was obsessed with making the Blood Basilisk his beast companion because the beast had its Monarch ancestor bloodline awakened and was guaranteed to become a powerful beast.
"You could confirm it with your own eyes if you can\'t believe my words," Alex said.
"Shadow, Confirm the information immediately and make someone watch over The Blood Basilisk."
After Wenrys gave the order, the teleportation marker vanished from his hand, and Alex didn\'t see a shadow move in the room.
\'A Fifth Rank Darkness element user.\' Alex didn\'t even feel anything, but from his rich experience, he knew only a fifth Rank warrior could pull such a trick.
"I thank you in advance, adventurer, for giving me such important information," Wenrys said and took a seat next to Lady Esmeralda.
Alex didn\'t say anything and patiently waited for the Shadow person to confirm the information and report it back so he could get his reward and leave the place.
---------------
\'Esmeralda, Do you think this adventurer is trustable?\' Wenrys asked telepathically.
\'Why do you ask such a question.\' Lady Esmeralda asked.
\'If the Blood Basilisk had awakened his Monarch Bloodline, he could be a great beast companion, but it would take tremendous effort to tame a beast of such a higher bloodline.\'
\'If this adventurer leaked information, my brothers would do everything possible to stop me from having such a beast companion.\'
\'Esmeralda, Who is this Immortal Adventurer? and with him being so weak, why would Father-in-Law ask him to search for the Blood Basilisk in the Swamp forest?\' Wenrys asked the question that was bothering him from the moment Alex revealed the information.
\'He is the adventurer who found the Moonstone, and that is why I asked my father to give him the quest to search for the clues related to Blood basilisk.\' Lady Esmeralda replied.
\'You only ask him to search for clues and not the location of the basilisk?\' Wenrys asked, really surprised by Lady Esmeralda\'s answer.
\'You are surprised as to why an immortal adventurer known to be very greedy for benefits would reveal such valuable information without asking anything in return.\' Lady Esmeralda said.
\'Discovering the Moonstone could be just luck, but finding the location of a creature in an area filled with monsters who could kill him without any trouble is impossible.\' Wenrys said.
\'He probably belongs to a strong guild that helped him search the swap forest and luckily discovered the creature.\' Lady Esmeralda said, not finding anything wrong with Alex discovering the location.
\'We both know that hundreds of adventurers are searching in the swamp forest, and even my shadow squad has been combing through the forest for more than a month, and they didn\'t find any clue that the basilisk is even present in the swap forest.\'
\'A weak Immortal adventurer just happened to find the exact location of the creature in a short time that hundreds of my best searchers could not discover.\'
\'I think he needs to be questioned thoroughly to find the person who sent him.\' Wenrys said in a cold tone, ready to question Alex and not in a friendly way.
Wenrys wasn\'t wrong about suspecting Alex of being here to complete some scheme by his enemy because being a prince of the only human empire made him the target of many people with good and primarily bad intentions.
\'Don\'t do anything stupid, and let me ask him some questions to explain how he found the basilisk,\' Duke Harold said, stopping Wenrys from taking any drastic action.
------------------
"Mr.One, I have a few questions I would like you to answer honestly." Duke Harold said.
\'I knew the questions to prove how I found the basilisk location would get asked, but I was expecting the Prince to question me and not in a friendly way.\'
Alex knew he needed to really convince them how he found the basilisk location after seeing that the human empire price was directly related to the matter.
"Sir. Harold, You want me to explain how I found the Blood basilisk location?" Alex knew he needed to explain this anyway, so he decided to do it in a way to get better benefits.
"I like intelligent people like you, so please explain how you found the Basilisk in such a short time. It can\'t possibly be just luck." Duke Harold said with a fake laugh, hinting at Alex to tell the truth and not talk some luck bullshit.
"Before I explain, I want to ask what you think an injured beast would do to save his life?" Alex asked.
"The Beast would hide in some secure place to heal his injuries." Duke Harold answered.
"I knew the Blood Basilisk was injured, and he would do the same, and with the confirmation of him hiding in the swamp forest, I just needed to find the place where he could hide, but with the swamp forest being so big, it was impossible without a plan."
"I used the information I know to create a plan that helped me find the Basilisk location."
"The Blood Basilisk is a very rare creature and holds a strong bloodline with great potential making him a target to be hunted by every strong creature in the forest to consume his blood essence to gain tremendous benefits."
"The Blood Basilisk is intelligent enough to know his life value and would never hide in the territory of any creature strong enough to kill him."
"After knowing all this information, only a few areas are left where the Basilisk would hide, which could provide him with protection from the beast and enough time to heal his injuries."
"After having this knowledge, I searched the selected places to test my theory, and with the little help of luck, I discovered the location of the Blood basilisk," Alex concluded his explanation and waited for any questions.
