Chapter 364: 358: Seeking Death (Part 2)
“Who the hell are you?” Elias didn’t even think before spinning around, his eyes red with anger, and heading straight for Finn.
With Jim’s skills, there was no way Elias could reach Finn. Before Elias could even get halfway there, Jim sidestepped and hooked his right foot, sending Elias to the ground in a face-plant. Angered and embarrassed, Elias let out a furious roar, pushed himself off the ground, and rushed at Finn again.
He failed his first attempt and the second was no different. Without any explanation, two casually dressed men held him back. This time it wasn’t Jim, but the bodyguards brought by Will. Prior to their arrival, they had been instructed that if anyone posed a threat to Finn, they had the liberty to act and even gun down the person if Finn’s life was endangered.
Their employer had assured them, even if they killed someone, the FBI would cover for them. Hearing this, the bodyguards knew how important Finn, their protectee, was, or at the very least, how valuable he was to their employer. They had an understanding of the status of the Floral Wealth Group within the North Federation.
Don’t think the top ten wealthy groups are only about money. In the North Federation, the power of these groups is incomparable. They are actually instrumental in influencing the official power of the North Federation! Even if only four of the top ten groups, or even just three groups, reached a united agreement, they could guide the official power of the North Federation to launch a localized war!
This is no exaggeration. That’s why many people say that the North Federation is like a giant corporation, and whoever the North Federation Official wants to strike against isn’t based on the President’s mood, but who the wealthy groups behind the Federation want the President to target. This statement truly reflects the role of North Federation officials.
“Let me go!” Elias immediately struggled to retaliate when he was held back, but how could the two bodyguards who had his arms in a firm grip let him break free? Their careers in this line of work had trained them to be swift and strategic. Elias let out a stifled groan of pain as they maneuvered subtly, draining him of energy.
Four more burly men rushed in, heading for the two bodyguards holding Elias. They were Elias’ personal security guards. In the North Federation, while not everyone chases after celebrities, personal security was a necessity for many.
However, these four burly men were also stopped in their tracks. They couldn’t reach their goal as they were intercepted. The film crew and staff around them watched, dumbstruck. Everything had changed so quickly, much to their surprise. Even Nolan did not expect the situation to escalate like this.
“Stop it! Stop it! Break it up! Break up!” Nolan yelled out loud. He didn’t want his crew to make headlines the next day. This can’t be good news for a director, especially if it’s negative news.
Since Nolan had spoken, Finn paused for a moment before signaling his bodyguards to let Elias go.
“Apologize.” Finn walked over and commanded Elias in a cold voice.
“Why should I?! She should apologize to me!” Elias yelled back angrily. This time he didn’t dare to take physical action. He wasn’t stupid. It was clear that Finn wasn’t a celebrity nor an average person. The fact that Finn had bodyguards meant he must be wealthy. Even though Finn was from the Asian continent, Elias was no fool. It would be unwise to confront an unknown foe rashly.
Furthermore, they were currently at a disadvantage. Finn’s bodyguards outnumbered those of Elias.
“I’ll say it again, apologize.” Finn’s voice was cold. If Elias intentionally cut off Finn during a shot, it could be understood. But Elias took the opportunity to make a physical move, and that was unacceptable! Especially since it was an action with sexual assault implications. If such actions were part of the script and both parties agreed to it beforehand, it wouldn’t be an issue. But if such actions weren’t agreed upon, one could be accused of sexual harassment.
Besides, it wasn’t even about whether it was a case of sexual harassment or not. The fact was someone dared to lay a hand on Finn’s woman. Finn wouldn’t tolerate it, regardless of whether Kay was right or wrong. Even if she was wrong, Finn would stand by Kay’s side. Finn wasn’t a saint, he didn’t care about right or wrong!
“I won’t apologize.” Elias also chuckled coldly in reply. Then he turned to Nolan and announced, “I won’t be shooting today’s scene. Let Owen Things talk to me about the rest.” After saying this, Elias turned to leave.
Will signaled with his hand, laughing at the notion. Finn hadn’t said anything yet, so there was no way Will would let Elias leave. As per Will’s command, more than ten bodyguards surrounded Elias, his guards, and his agent. Seeing the abundance of bodyguards, Nolan couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
Finn didn’t care about what was happening over there. He walked over to Kay, who was still somewhat dazed. Sarah was standing next to Kay. Seeing Finn approaching, Kay snapped out of her daze, her face filled with apprehension as she realized that Finn had probably seen what had just happened.
Would he be angry? Kay was consumed with this thought. She glanced unconsciously at Finn. Sarah, standing next to her, shook her head. Kay was too far gone, it seemed inevitable that she wouldn’t be able to escape Finn in this lifetime. Then again, Sarah admitted anyone would find it hard to escape Finn if he decided to pursue them.
“Are you alright?” Finn asked with a bit of amusement in his voice but didn’t show it on his face.
“No… No, I’m okay. When did you came?” Kay asked hesitantly.
“I came early, when you were discussing things with the director.” Finn replied with a smile, not revealing that he had already known what Kay and the director were discussing.
“I……” Kay was about to say something, but Finn interrupted her with a smile, “Alright, am I that petty? Other than kissing scenes and intimate scenes, everything else is acceptable. I’m not old-fashioned.”
“You’re not angry?” Kay looked up, her face lighting up with a smile.
