Chapter 129: Damnation
Eyeliner, which took the shape of that which was commonly associated with the ancient Egyptians. This pale skinned woman\'s hair was the color of gold, and despite her quite literally rotten flesh, was as lustrous as the finest velvet.
This woman wore a golden sequin dress which clung tightly to her natural curves. Despite her otherworldly beauty, there was a look of utter contempt on her face as she gazed upon the stalkers in front of her, all of which were kneeling before the woman as if she were royalty.
The stalkers silently communicated with her over what they had seen, and with a snap of her fingers, one among their ranks instantly turned into a fine red mist. Causing the others to tremble in fear as they waited for her verdict.
Lying bound and gagged on the floor was the terrified appearance of a woman, though her face was concealed by her ragged hair. Her muffled screams filled the air as the Stalker\'s coagulated blood coated her disheveled appearance with a thick layer of rotting fluids.
However, in the next moment, as if she were suffering from bi-polar disorder, a wide, and sadistic yet lovely smirk appeared on Lilith\'s face as she spoke in a voice so melodic one might have thought an angel had been speaking.
"So little Barty boy is conspiring with that brat Eliza to keep this a secret from me? How very interesting… I mean honestly, does he really believe that I don\'t have my own stalkers keeping an eye on him? Or did he want me to know about this? Hmmm….
If mother is involved with this living being…. No, it\'s best to consider him one of us, even if he is only half so…. Then things have just gotten a lot more interesting. And here I thought that the living were the only ones we had to worry about….
Yet my own brothers and sisters conspire against me. How incredibly sad that makes little ol\' me… I might just shed a tear from this betrayal… What do you think, my little pet? Should I be crying right now?"
Lilith gazed down at the woman\'s face, who was obscured by her filthy and matted hair. The one distinctive feature that could be witnessed was the tears flooding down the woman\'s face. This only further caused Lilith to gloat, as her voice inflected in a playful, yet terrible, way.
"Oh? What is this? You\'re shedding tears on my behalf? How wonderfully delicious! Cry for me like a proper pet should! How interesting.
Your people fought so valiantly against my hordes for your sake, but in the end you are the only one left, kneeling before me like a properly beaten hound! Do you now see your folly? What did you expect from resisting little ol\' me?
I\'ll tell you what pet, your tears have persuaded me, I have changed my mind, I won\'t eat that utterly delectable heart of yours… No! I think I have much bigger plans for you, I shall let you live in my service, be thankful for my mercy!"
The woman continued to lie face first on the floor; the tears flowing like rivers from her eyes. Live in this monster\'s service? She was better off dead! What cruel fate would it be to live beneath this witch\'s control?
But she did not dare look up at Lilith. No matter how beautiful she may be, it was the devil that lie behind that rotten flesh, a devil who had brought her and her fellow survivors to their knees with the snap of her fingers. Just like she had done to her own servant just now.
As for Lilith herself, her eyes were attracted eastward, though the crying woman in front of her didn\'t realize it, the undead horde king\'s vision was vast, and she could pierce the distance between where she currently stood, and where Eliza was currently observing Zane and the actions of the small community of survivors, he was just starting to build.
A slight but infectious smile appeared on Lilith\'s lips as she broke out into a terrifying laughter, followed by a menacing voice.
"Perhaps I should look into matters in the East… But if I do…. That stubborn bastard might try to make things difficult for me…."
The vision of a handsome and refined man appeared in Lilith\'s eyes, causing her to frown. There were only a few Horde King\'s in the world who were her equal, and unfortunately for her, one of them just so happened to stake his territory on the same continent.
With this in mind, Lilith shook her head and sighed before turning her attention back to the woman in front of her.
"No, that would be unwise. If mother is really involved, then it is none of my business. Rather, there are already so many interesting things happening here within my domain. Wouldn\'t you agree, pet?"
The alluring voice, which was filled with menacing intent, only caused the woman kneeling before Lilith to cry even more. From the moment the Horde King had captured her, she knew that she was a dead woman, but now she felt her fate was one of far more serious damnation.
