Chapter 161: Look at Me
Chapter 161: Look at Me
Ed was jumping above buildings while checking his Map. There was a green dot below the castle but was guarded by many red dots. Obviously, it was Emilia. Ed was heading towards the castle while studying its structure. He didn't want to be inside and have to ask a maid about the way to the basement. It would be too embarrassing. A couple of figures rushing towards him brought his attention outside of the Map. It was four of the five stars who were going to check the situation at the gates.
"Stop! And Look at me!" One of the figures shouted at Ed. The rest continued their way as if certain that Ed wouldn't get away. The man who stopped Ed was pointing at him with his left hand, while his right was on his forehead. It felt like he was trying to strike a pose but had a stroke midway. Ed's eyebrows kept twitching while looking at him.
"Now tell me! Why are you here?!" The man kept changing poses every time, making Ed angrier and angrier. "Wooah!" Suddenly, the man looked like he slipped on the snow. But, everyone gave up on that thought as something pulled his leg and flung him to the side. It was Ed's Telekinesis. The other three stars had to stop and look due to their friend shouting. They couldn't believe their eyes when they saw him being thrown away like some rag. What happened next shocked them even more. Ed's leg muscles tightened and he jumped over a hundred meters per jump. He wasn't flying, only jumping. He did this in order to have more time to study the castle interior. He also wanted to save the time left on his dimension ability in case of an emergency.
The four stars wanted to chase after him, but the explosions took priority. They couldn't help but let him head to the castle. Their leader was also there, so they believed Ed wouldn't make it far. They forgot that they believed their flashy friend would stop him. And then they were surprised.
Ed quickly reached the castle and infiltrated inside. He noticed that people who were near the gates weren't allowed to enter the castle. He was also surprised to see that everyone inside the castle was an enemy. It was filled with red dots. 'Norris must have replaced everyone with Blood sect members'. Ed thought and continued heading towards the way of the castle's basement.
"So, your goal is the Ice Witch." A voice sounded above Ed. He couldn't see anyone above him, but the Map told him someone was there. Suddenly, the ceiling blew apart and a woman emerged.
"What do you want her for?" she asked Ed while he looked at her dazed.
"Did you destroy the ceiling because you thought it would look cool?" Ed's question seemed to hit bullseye seeing that she froze upon hearing it.
"What do you want her for?" she asked Ed again, pretending nothing happened.
The woman had a long silver hair while her skin was tanned. Her eyes were amber colored, a very rare type of eyes. She was taller than Ed who was almost 1.80 meters. She carried a club filled with spikes, which was pointed at Ed right now.
"Who are you, by the way?" She asked for Ed's identity.
"You should introduce yourself before asking for someone's identity. It's common sense." Ed answered her.
"Eh? Ah! Excuse me my name Lilliana- Why are you walking away?!" Lilliana couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Ed leaving her there, speaking to herself.
"You see I'm kind of in a hurry, we'll continue this conversation later." As Ed was speaking, Lilliana appeared in front of him. As if she teleported.
"Tsk, we played for long enough. You won't be going anywhere." She released her aura right as some guards were coming their way. Once they felt it, they returned to their original posts. They knew better than to interrupt one of the five stars while they were fighting.
'Space magic?' Ed found that her sudden appearance was the same as his short range teleport's effect.
"Prepare yourself!" She rushed at Ed swinging her club.
"Isn't it bad if we fight here?" Ed spoke as he dodged to the side. It was already too late for her to retract her weapon, so she ended up breaking the floor.
"See." Ed looked at her while shaking his head.
"You bastard!" She rushed at again, only this time much faster.
"Don't blame me for what you did." Ed had no choice but to withdraw his weapon. In a couple of exchanges, he could tell one thing. She was stronger than the noble he killed before. So as not to waste a long time, Ed turned a little serious.
He started using both Muramasa and Ame-No-Murakumo. It was time for their test run.
"By the way, is it your friends causing a ruckus near the gates? My friends will kill them soon, but not sooner than when I kill you!" She said, increasing the speed of her attacks.
"If they're only at your level, then I don't need to worry." Ed slashed with Ame-No-Murakumo. The black saw marks shined and Lilliana's club split into many pieces. She couldn't believe what happened but quickly retrieved a new weapon. This time it was a mace, also filled with spikes.
"Stop and look at me!" Once again, the one who stopped Ed earlier was stopping someone. It was Merry and Alicia who were playing around with the guards' senses.
"What are you, an idiot?" Merry spoke her mind when she looked at his pose. The man couldn't believe her, so he retaliated.
"How can you call me an idiot! I'm beautiful."
'What does beauty have to do with intellect' Alicia couldn't help but think this way. Her face was looking weird due to the man's idiocy affecting her.
"Really? I think Ed and Hayato are better looking." Merry's answer shocked him and made him angry. In two other areas, a similar situation was happening, although not as near as weird as this one.
"Agu-, no WarGreymon. I'll take care of this, you continue the destruction." Goburou, who sounded like a man in his mid-twenties told WarGreymon. In front of him was one of the five stars. A middle-aged man with a slash across his eye.
Hayato and Garu also had the remaining two members stand in front of them. Five battles started in five different places.
