Chapter 198: Groups (2)
Chapter 198: Groups (2)
The elf pulled the string of the bow with all his might, and then Luke knew that something troublesome was coming, he used Stinger level five to approach the target instantly, but he used his attack to repel Luke\'s. In the end, Luke was stopped in the middle of the room, and a shockwave exploded when his sword came in contact with the soundwave attack. Luke was pushed back, and cracks appeared on the ground and the walls. Such was the power of the previous attack…
Luke got up feeling achy all over, which was starting to get annoying… it wasn\'t like that elf was that much stronger, so why was he having such a hard time? Before he could find a solution to those problems, he heard the sound of the string of the bow being pulled again. However, an ice wall appeared in front of him and protected him.
"Thanks, Shalia… still, instead of focusing on defense, I want you to do something else," Luke said.
Luke whispered the last part, so the elf didn\'t hear that. Still, he wasn\'t worried about Luke\'s plans. It was as clear as the day that it was impossible for him to lose. Still, the elf frowned when he saw Shalia firing Fireballs toward him. Naturally, pulling the string a single time had been enough to make those disperse, but Shalia didn\'t give up. Still, eventually, the temperature in the room began to increase, the ice began to melt a little, and the steam could be seen everywhere. Once that happened, Luke went to the offensive again, and when the elf tried to attack him, he dodged to the side and then charged again with Stinger. For the first time, Luke almost wounded the elf, but he blocked the attack with his bow.
"It is a pretty sturdy bow… I will make good use of it," Luke said while smirking.
"… How did you see my attack?" The elf asked.
"Use your damn head to find an explanation," Luke said and then used Hurricane.
The elf was engulfed by the attack, and since he was resisting, Luke didn\'t waste time and used Flamethrower. The elf panicked and repeatedly used his bow to repel both spells. However, the Flamethrower still burned him for half a second and rendered his left leg useless. As expected, he didn\'t have a high defense… Despite the pain and unpleasant surprise, at that moment, the elf noticed the steam moving alongside with each of his movements… when he used the bow, the projectile flew while leaving a very visible path… Luke had used the steam to see those.
The elf showed some annoyance after understanding that… Why didn\'t he realize such an obvious weakness to his attacks? Still, it seemed like Luke didn\'t rely only on that to make things a bit more balanced. His attacks moved at the speed of sound, so Luke had to have some lightning-like reflexes.
Shalia made a pillar of fire emerge from below the elf, but he repelled it in the blink of an eye. Still, it damaged him, and Luke used that chance to charge again. Luke aimed for his head with Stinger, but the bow still got on his way. That weapon sure was sturdy, but it was clear that the green-haired elf also had a lot of physical strength. Was it because of his buffs? It was hard to tell…
Luke prepared to use one of his spells again, but when he pointed his hand toward the enemy, he used the bow and broke his fingers. Luke couldn\'t dodge at that distance. His only option was to endure the pain… Still, the elf kept attacking and didn\'t give him time to do the same.
"Magical attacks are no good… since he can attack freely," Luke thought while he was being pushed back by a barrage of attacks.
Luke\'s swords were blocking most of those since they were focused mostly on speed and number of attacks, but still, it was enough to overwhelm him… Shalia joined the fray and made some fire spears fall from above, and they almost hit the elf, but they still caused damage due to the heat. Annoyed, the elf pulled a big one and fired at Shalia, but Luke turned to the side and blocked the strike with his shoulder. The sound of it dislocating could be heard, but soon Luke fixed that.
"Don\'t annoy him too much. Your defensive abilities must be below in this form," Luke said.
"I am not made of glass, Luke," Shalia protested.
Luke didn\'t have the chance to do anything because he used the small window of time granted by the attack to charge at the enemy. Using Stinger, again and again, he forced the enemy to assume a defensive stance where he couldn\'t pull the string since he had to hold the bow with both hands. Still, Luke probably will run out of SP before he can achieve anything… Still, Luke had an idea.
Luke created a water spear, and then Shalia froze it. Once it fell on his hands, he used Weapon Augmentation level six… the projectile flew toward the enemy at fearsome speeds, but the elf repelled with its sound wave attacks. Still, he didn\'t expect that five others would appear out of nowhere. The enemy was almost overwhelmed by the power of those, but he still managed to block them with his own attacks. Once that happened, he saw Luke preparing to throw his sword the same way he did with the spear, and that made the elf raise his guard. Naturally, the attack had been heavier, but he still blocked and prepared for the others… but they never came, and Luke had disappeared.
In the next moment, the elf felt a strike on his left cheek, and then several others landed on his face as well. Luke used Dash to approach as fast as possible and then used Fury Punches.. Five powerful strikes landed on the enemy\'s face and knocked him down.
