Chapter 156 Unexpectedly found destiny before the trials began
Yue Li looked at him with irritation and disgust. She was carrying Ruo like a baby. It had been about five minutes since she was transported into an infinitely expanding white space filled with trees everywhere, and her Xiao Li was nowhere to be found.
She was waiting for her son now but she was no longer worried; from the moment she was transferred here to this weird place with white soil and square white heavens, she was now inside a protective bubble of sorts, and no one could harm them now. As far as she saw, the bubble was invincible!
The bubble even seemed to be able to tell enemies and friends as she and Ruo were together. But even though other people couldn\'t approach them too closely and her son had asked her to maintain a low profile, these youths seemed nonstop, one after the other, coming to her and attempting to get her address or flirt. This guy alone was the seventh, and he was the most annoying and persistent.
"Hey, tell me, fairy, what is your name?" the man asked, his voice filled with a romantic flair.
Yue Li had enough and snorted with irritation. "You snot-nosed brat, get lost! I already have a boyfriend!" n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
The man frowned. "How dare he! Who is this arrogant man who dares to covet what this young master from the great clan—"
His words were caught in his stomach as he felt a gaze. An aura. It was so vast, so unfathomably barbaric. His back started to sweat coldly while his teeth started to chatter. He trembled. An arm comfortably wrapped around his neck as if the protective bubble didn\'t exist at all.
"Continue," a calm voice said.
The youth mechanically shifted his gaze and saw scarlet pupils looking at him. His soul almost left his body at the sight, and his heart shivered. "Who, who are you?!"
The owner of the red eyes curiously wondered for a second before smiling. "Me? Have you not heard of my resounding reputation? Have you not heard of the majestic title, Red Eyed Han Li? How dare you slight this young master!"
The youth felt cold sweat bead down his back. A title?
Only powerful and mighty Power Borns had titles of their own. Evolved were not worthy of such names of adoration or fear. \'Don\'t tell me… did I kick the hornet\'s nest by flirting with the most beautiful woman I had seen in the entire white expanse? Damn me, she was just too beautiful, and I was too curious. And why is my protective bubble not working?\' the youth sweated coldly.
Han Li\'s eyes turned even more curious as he chuckled. "What is a woman doing in the first place acting like a man? Not to mention trying to flirt with my mom at that."
The youth\'s eyes widened to the limit, and she turned to look at Han Li\'s face once more. This time, cold sweat trickled down her forehead. "What might you mean, mighty senior?"
Honestly speaking, she had no status nor big clans backing her. She was just a normal village woman acting as a male due to curiosity. No one could attack her anyway with the bubble in place. She just wanted to act like a young master. Uh, that was a bad idea.
She had walked all around and seen many people around here trying to attack the bubble, only to fail miserably. There was even a Power Born there who was injured badly in an attempt to do that, as his own attack was reflected back.
Han Li looked at the woman with even more curiosity. "You might fool other people with your facade, but woman, you can\'t fool me. I can smell maidens from a kilometer away!"
Yue Li came closer with a curious smile and gave Han Li a slight smack on the head. "What are you, a dog, to smell maidens from that far?"
Han Li chuckled. His Life Vision was just too useful in such scenarios.
"Mom," he shifted the girl\'s face towards his mother. "Doesn\'t she look cute?"
Yue Li looked at her curiously. Now that she looked closely, there really was a feminine touch to the youth. She had short black hair and rosy jade cheeks, while on her head was dark hair, and her eyes were a particularly curious purple. Even now that Han Li was basically showing her up like merchandise, she seemed more curious than actually afraid, even though she sweated a lot.
"Are you really a woman?" Yue Li asked, filled with curiosity. Where was the woman\'s breasts?
"Eh…" the woman blushed. "Apparently, I am. Can you ask your son to move a bit away from me?"
Yue Li looked at her with sparkling eyes. "What happened to your boobs?"
The woman glared at Yue Li. "Of course, not every woman has to be so blessed like you!"
Yue Li chuckled, proud. That was a part of her that her son still adored. "What a cute girl! Why did you act like a hooligan?"
"Cough," The girl coughed. "I was just curious and didn\'t think the bubble would fail so easily. Luckily, I was trapped with people as benevolent as you two who quickly let me go."
"Who let you go?" Han Li asked, smiling.
The girl tried to move away from him, and Han Li smiled as he said, "Your bubble is still working, you know? I really can\'t harm you."
The girl blinked, staying a while longer under his arm. "Oh, what might you mean?"
What a crafty little fox, Han Li chuckled. The girl wanted the information.
"It\'s the intent that you hold in your heart that matters. If you can channel your heart to feel no harm to the person you are going to interact with in any way, the bubble won\'t repulse you. As in, see my mom holding that girl; if she felt anything negative of any sort that could be harmful to the girl, she and the girl would be pushed apart."
The crafty girl\'s eyes lit up, and she moved away from Han Li with two steps. She looked at him with a laugh, "Okay then, benevolent brother, may I go now? My great clan members are waiting for me somewhere else. You see, I have something else to do."
Han Li looked at her, suddenly growing a bit bored. With a sigh, he went ahead and muttered, "I was wondering if I would get another disciple, but it seems not."
"Eh?" Yue Li was surprised. "You want to take her as a disciple, as in like me and Liyue?"
"Of course, she seemed like a good addition. My type of person, honestly."
The woman stopped in her tracks, her ears perking up. From a young age, she had grown up in a village with no one to teach her the ways of cultivation, and she had always wished to have someone to teach her. The four sects were too far from her village, and she knew of no one else in the world with a Spark similar to her own. So, it was a very awkward situation for her.
Her foot walked back, and she stood studiously in front of her new master.
This person, who obviously seemed like a Power-born old man acting like a young man after eating some Magic Resource, could probably be her best bet at gaining a powerful master. Han Li squinted at her curiously while Yue Li judged her from the side.
"Is she worthy of you? Liyue might be mad if you get entangled in others even before you guys…"
The girl\'s heart skipped a beat. Even though she felt there was something fishy and that she was jumping into it too headfast, the forest and the village had taught her one thing: when opportunities arrive, you have to catch them.
"My name is Wei Yuanfen! I am not a lesbian, and I do not love women. The earlier thing was just a joke on my part; please pardon me, Miss Mother!" she bowed. Han Li smiled charmingly. "Does that mean you love men?"
Wei Yuanfen felt a clump in her throat, but taking a deep breath, she said, "I have never been in a relationship, but I am searching for someone worthy of marrying… I have a very peculiar Spark that would require me to cultivate with a man in my later years. But I have not yet found him."
Yue Li\'s eyebrows shot up. Her son, on the other hand, chuckled. What else could it be other than destiny?
Liyue lacked a nice friend around her own age group anyway. She should understand.
[Wei Yuanfen] [Age: 21]
[Current Cultivation: 3rd Awakening, Love Spark]
[End time cultivation in the first life Premonition: Third Awakening, Love Spark]
[End time cultivation in the last Premonition: Evolved, Love Dao]
[Death: (in the last premonition) At age 29, she died fighting a Beast who attacked her village.]
Han Li grew a bit wistful.
Love Dao. Another Dao under the Great Dao of Life like the Lust Dao. And since she was here, it also meant that she was a Sacred Talent Cultivator like himself.
"Wei Yuanfeng…" Han Li muttered. "What is your spark?"
She hesitated for a long while before saying, "Love Spark."
Han Li was calm, unlike her expectations. "You needed to love someone or something intensely for you to raise your cultivation talent, too, right? Since you already have Sacred Talent, who did you love so much?"
Yuanfeng sighed. She knew she couldn\'t keep anything if she wanted to be someone\'s disciple. Her cheerful face became downtrodden.
"I don\'t really like thinking about it as I like to keep myself cheery. My mother was a very kind person, but she passed away three years ago, and my goal is to one day revive her. Uh… I know it sounds ridiculous, but I want to try."
Han Li looked at her. He then looked at his mom, who was sympathetically looking at her.
"What do you wish by becoming my disciple?" he asked with a solemn tone. The girl looked at him with a smile. She looked quite charming.
"I want you to teach me the basics. I am confident in myself to learn the rest by myself. And… I don\'t mind it if you try to make me fall in love either since one of my goals is to fall in love with someone…"
The man in front of her, Han Li, couldn\'t be too bad of a person since he had a mother with him. She still had suspicions about whether he was a Power Born or not, but even if he was not, she could still learn the basics. That was enough.
And he was quite handsome, even though he might be older than his appearance, she felt she might fall in love with someone like this. Then, her cultivation speed would soar!
Han Li looked at her and then at his mother. "Mom, what do you say?"
Yue Li blinked. "Seems like a good girl?"
Wei Yuanfei sighed in relief. "I shall bow nine times!"
