Chapter 320 - Ill Take Responsibility For Her
Chapter 320: I’ll Take Responsibility For Her
Chi Jiao immediately shook her head. “Daddy, don’t apologize to me. I’m just glad you’re fine.”
Chi Mingwei’s heart warmed when he saw how sensible his dear daughter was. However, when he saw Quan Jue from the corner of his eye, his eyebrows couldn’t help but twitch.
“Um, Jiaojiao, I’m hungry. The buns in the hospital cafeteria are quite delicious. Go buy some for me.” Chi Mingwei smiled at her.
Chi Jiao nodded obediently and looked at Quan Jue. “Brother Quan, stay here and talk to my dad. I’ll be back soon.”
With that, she got up and walked out of the ward.
Quan Jue sat up from the sofa and looked at Chi Mingwei calmly. “Say what you want to say.”
If he couldn’t tell that Chi Mingwei had deliberately sent Jiaojiao away, then he would be a fool.
Chi Mingwei looked at him with a dark expression. “Rascal, do you know what it means to be reserved?”
Quan Jue frowned, not understanding what he meant.
Chi Mingwei originally didn’t want to make things so clear, but when he saw Quan Jue looking at him with a confused expression, he coughed dryly and said, “Don’t hug Jiaojiao all the time. She’s a girl. If others see you like that, it won’t be good for her reputation. Do you understand?”
Quan Jue lazily raised an eyebrow. “I’ll take responsibility for her.”
In other words, what he meant was “So what if they saw?”
Chi Mingwei was almost angered to death by his lackadaisical attitude. He clenched his fists and said, “Can you take responsibility now? When you can truly take responsibility for Jiaojiao, you can, you can…”
He didn’t know what to say next.
“I can do what?” Quan Jue curled his lips and looked at him with a devilish gaze.
“Don’t joke around with me. Anyway, you’re not allowed to hug Jiaojiao casually anymore, alright?” Chi Mingwei deliberately said with a dark expression.
“I can’t help it,” Quan Jue said with a sloppy smile.
“What?!” Chi Mingwei lifted the blanket, got off the bed, and rushed over to Quan Jue aggressively. “Say that again! What did you just say?!”
When he was Quan Jue’s age, he had been a school bully. However, he wasn’t as good at playing rogue as this boy!
Quan Jue sat on the sofa with his legs crossed as he placed one hand on his knee and the other on the back of the sofa. He looked up at Chi Mingwei. “Jiaojiao is too cute.”
Chi Mingwei was caught off guard by his praise. He subconsciously smiled and nodded. “Jiaojiao is indeed very cute. You have good taste, hehehehe…”
“So I can’t help it,” Quan Jue continued.
The smile on Chi Mingwei’s face froze. He raised his hand and was about to hit Quan Jue’s head.
However, before his hand could land, the door was pushed open and a girl’s sweet voice could be heard.
“Daddy, I forgot to ask you what you would like to drink. So, I bought them all.”
Chi Mingwei’s hand had yet to land on Quan Jue’s head when it stopped in midair and he turned to look at the door.
He met Chi Jiao’s eyes.
Chi Jiao scanned Chi Mingwei from head to toe. Then, she quickly rushed between him and Quan Jue and propped her arms up to protect him. She looked like a little hen protecting her chick.
“Dad, put your hand down,” Chi Jiao said to him.
