Chapter 268 - You Really Have a Cheap Life

Chapter 268: You Really Have a Cheap Life

“He’s inside. Let’s go.” After Quan Jingzhou said that, he walked towards the warehouse.

Quan Jue followed behind him.

The warehouse was filled with a terrible smell. It was the stench of urine mixed with the smell of blood.

Quan Jue had just stepped into the warehouse when he smelled the strange and pungent smell. He subconsciously frowned.

He looked up and scanned the place.

The warehouse was not big, but it looked particularly spacious because there was nothing inside. Not far away, a person was tied to a pillar.

Quan Jue’s gaze landed on that person.

That person looked like he had experienced a huge ordeal. His body was covered in blood, and only his face was fine.

It was just that his mouth was taped shut, so he couldn’t make a sound.

It was actually Senior Lai.

Without thinking, Quan Jue could guess that Quan Jingzhou must have used some special method to bail him out.

“Do you know this man?” Quan Jingzhou asked him gently.

Quan Jue did not speak.

“When this man went to catch you under my banner, did you really believe him?” Quan Jingzhou asked again.

“What reason do I have to not believe?” Quan Jue glanced at him coldly, his tone extremely vile.

Seeing him daring to speak to Quan Jingzhou in such a manner, the other bodyguards, including the unconscious Senior Lai, were all shocked. Only Quan San was used to it.

In Shang Jing, anyone who had heard of Quan Jingzhou’s name knew that he had a nickname: Living Hades.

It was because Quan Jingzhou’s methods were especially ruthless, and he could disregard even his family when he was ruthless.

They had never seen anyone who dared to talk to him like this before.

“In your eyes, am I someone who will casually kill my own son?” Quan Jingzhou asked with a smile, his gaze turning cold as he looked at Quan Jue.

“What can’t the Living Hades do?” Quan Jue laughed mockingly.

“Must you anger me?” Quan Jingzhou frowned.

Quan Jue glanced at him coldly and said nothing in return.

But his attitude already told Quan Jingzhou that he was really not afraid.

“Gloves.” Quan Jingzhou suddenly reached out and said.

Quan San immediately took out a pair of black gloves and handed them to him with both hands.

After Quan Jingzhou wore his gloves, he walked towards Senior Lai.

When Senior Lai saw Quan Jingzhou walking towards him, his eyes were filled with terror and his taped mouth started to whimper.

“Untie him,” Quan Jingzhou said indifferently as he stood a meter away from the man.

Quan San immediately went forward to help loosen his ropes and took off the tape over his mouth.

Senior Lai’s body fell weakly to the ground. Quan Jingzhou walked forward and kicked him in the stomach.

This kick sent the man flying.

His body scraped against the ground as he was sent flying for a few meters before coming to a stop. Senior Lai couldn’t control himself, let out a painful grunt, and spat out a mouthful of blood.

Lying on the ground, he watched as Quan Jingzhou walked gracefully to him with his long legs. Without caring about his backbone and pride, he reached out to grab his trousers. “Master Jing, I know my mistake. Please, spare my cheap life.”

Quan Jingzhou squatted down and looked at him. His thin lips curled into a smile. “You do have a cheap life. How dare you touch my son. Senior Lai, tell me. Who gave you the confidence to do so?”
