Chapter 236 - Jiaojiao, Come Visit Me More When You Have Time

Chapter 236: Jiaojiao, Come Visit Me More When You Have Time

There was no change in Chi Jiao’s expression. She said indifferently that she got it, and then hung up.

“I have something on at home. I have to go first,” Chi Jiao said as she stood up from her chair.

“We should leave, too,” Yi Lanlan and Dang Nan said together.

Xu Ye, of course, couldn’t bear seeing Chi Jiao leave. He looked at her pitifully and said, “Jiaojiao, come visit me more often if you have the time.”

Before Chi Jiao could speak, Quan Jue interrupted coldly.

“Jiaojiao is very busy.”

Xu Ye was so angry that he wanted to start a fight with him. It was a pity that one of his arms was crippled now, so he couldn’t even dream of beating him.

After Chi Jiao and Quan Jue walked out of the hospital, Quan Jue asked, “Who called earlier? What happened at home?”

“Zhu Limin and Chi Yan are back,” Chi Jiao said softly.

Quan Jue frowned.

He didn’t know that Zhu Limin and Chi Yan had tried to sell Chi Jiao to Forbidden Island, but he vaguely knew that Chi Mingwei was currently in the process of divorcing Zhu Limin.

Just then, Quan Jue’s phone rang.

He took it out and saw that it was an unknown number.

“I’ll take this call. Wait for me here for a moment,” Quan Jue said to her before turning around and walking away.

After walking for about ten meters, Quan Jue picked up the call.

An unfamiliar male voice was heard from the other end of the line.

“Excuse me, is this Quan Jue?”

“Who are you?” Quan Jue asked coldly.

“Hello, this is Chi Jiao’s brother, Shen Liao. I would like to meet you today. Are you free? I’m waiting for you at the Lianhua Clubhouse right now.” Shen Liao’s pleasant voice was as cold as a machine.

Quan Jue narrowed his eyes and felt that the name Shen Liao was a little familiar.

But he didn’t think too much about it. He said slowly, “Then, wait for me.”

With that, he hung up.

Returning to Chi Jiao’s side, Quan Jue held her hand. “I have some matters I need to settle. I’ll send you home first, okay?”

Chi Jiao nodded.

After Zhu Limin and Chi Yan were sent home by the police, Auntie Liu, who was at home, almost didn’t recognize them.

The two of them, who had always been glamorous, were now in a pathetic state. They had lost a lot of weight and were covered in dust all over. Moreover, there were injuries on their faces. They looked as if they had just survived a disaster.

“Madam, First Miss?” Auntie Liu called out tentatively.

“Auntie Liu, hurry up and cook something delicious for me. I’m starving to death!” Chi Yan couldn’t wait to tell Auntie Liu. She hadn’t eaten her fill in the past few days, much less any delicious food. She had almost forgotten what meat tasted like.

Auntie Liu could hear the urgency in her tone and hurriedly nodded. “Alright, I’ll go do it immediately.”

“Mom, that little b*tch Chi Jiao isn’t home,” Chi Yan said through gritted teeth as her gaze scanned the living room.

She felt that her kidnapping was utterly ridiculous. If it weren’t for the police’s help, she would have lost her life.

Her intuition told her that this had something to do with Chi Jiao.

Zhu Limin was currently physically and mentally exhausted. She knew too well what was going on, but she couldn’t tell Chi Yan about it. She reached out and patted her shoulder. “Go take a shower and change your clothes first. It’s not good for your father to see us like this when he comes back.”

Chi Yan nodded and walked towards her room.

Zhu Limin returned to her room as well.

A minute later, Chi Yan’s scream was heard.

“Auntie Liu, why did my room become like this?!” Chi Yan shouted from the second floor.
