Chapter 423: Jian Yubo Holds a Shareholders’ Meeting (3)

“I have nothing to hide from you. Don’t think about it too much. It’s a good thing, not a bad thing. Stop being so nervous. Learn how to be happy,” He Yan said in a relaxed tone. She smiled at her two sons.

Jian Yumin and Jian Yujie looked at He Yan. Despite their mother’s words, they still felt quite uncomfortable.

Of course, they knew what their mother wanted.

And that meant that now that Jian Yubo got the shares of the Jian family, their mother was naturally going to be the happiest person.

However, their mother hadn’t known about this! Jian Yubo had done such a thing without any of them knowing. This meant that he wasn’t close to them anymore. A huge rift had appeared in their family.

After a while, the most important person of the day appeared in the conference room. Everyone had been waiting for him.

He was dressed in a black suit. His face and eyes appeared to be expressionless. It was impossible for people to look into his thoughts and emotions.

As soon as he saw Jian Yubo, Jian Yumin rushed up.

The two of them hadn’t seen each other in months.

And this was the occasion that they were meeting in?!

And Jian Yubo had been in Hengyuan City for so long. He hadn’t even told him about it!

Jian Yumin wasn’t sure whether he was angrier or sadder.

“Yubo, tell me, why are you doing this?” Jian Yumin asked. His eyes were red and his fists were clenched. The veins on the back of his hands surfaced up.

He stared at his little brother’s eyes. He tried to figure out Jian Yubo’s innermost thoughts.

The two brothers were only three years apart. They had played together as children.

They had gotten through their childhood days together. Back then, they had been up to all sorts of mischief.

In fact, back in those days, the two brothers were very close. They played and joked around and had a solid relationship.

However, as they grew up, they each had their own careers. They didn’t see each other as much as they used to.

This was especially after Jian Yumin entered the entertainment industry. He was incredibly busy in the first few years of his career. Jian Yumin refused to use his family background and He Yan’s resources when he was a trainee. Due to this reason, he had to work incredibly hard. He didn’t go home for most of the year.

However, he had always assumed that their relationship hadn’t changed.

“There’s no reason,” Jian Yubo replied indifferently.

“What do you mean by that? Why would you do this for no reason at all? Didn’t you tell me that what you like is Go? You said that your dream was to be a world-class Go player. Didn’t you want to win several titles in a row?”

“Probably,” Jian Yubo replied. He had indeed said that.

Jian Yujie also walked over. He appeared as though he was incredibly upset. He choked with emotion as he said: “Brother if this is what you want, I will support you. However, if you’re not happy, just say so, okay?”

Just like Jian Yumin, Jian Yujie did not believe that his brother would change his dreams so easily.

He did not believe that his brother would force their grandparents to do things. He did not believe that his brother would hurt their family for the sake of power and money.

“I’m not unhappy,” Jian Yubo replied.

His voice was calm and indifferent.

As soon as Jian Yiling returned to Hengyuan City, she received a notice that Jian Yubo was going to hold a shareholders’ meeting.

She got into the car that came to pick her up and headed to the company’s headquarters.

When Jian Yiling arrived, the conference room was already full of people.

In the past, the person that sat at the very end of the conference table was Grandpa Jian.

But today, the person who sat there was Jian Yubo.
