Chapter 397 - 397: Southern Region Experts
Behind him stood a few young men and women, descendants of some large factions. Over this period, they had gradually become familiar with Qin Hao. After all, Su Chen stood behind Qin Hao, and Su Chen’s reputation alone was comparable to some supreme forces already. This made many eager to befriend Qin Hao. With Su Chen’s support, even if Qin Hao lost to Qin Yuan, he wouldn’t end up dead.
“Fellow Daoist Qin, ten days later when you fight Qin Yuan, what are your chances?” asked a horned creature curiously.
Over this period, he had been following Qin Hao, witnessing his advancement from the initial stage to the middle stage of the Nirvana Realm in just half a year – quite shocking, despite some lucky chances helping.
“I heard Qin Yuan has already reached the late stage of the Nirvana Realm,” said a red-dressed girl, looking thoughtfully at Qin Hao’s back. On the surface, they were only separated by a minor realm, but in reality, it was not so simple.
Qin Hao and Qin Yuan were both top prodigies. Not just a minor realm, even a tiny difference could affect the outcome. More importantly, Qin Yuan was older than Qin Hao and had been consolidating his foundation all these years – Qin Hao could not compare at all.
In many people’s eyes, Qin Hao having even a 10% chance of winning against Qin Yuan was already very good.
“I still have a 50% chance,” Qin Hao said with a smile, his eyes bright and sunny. Even his smile felt like a spring breeze.
“Since entering the Shadowless Hall, Qin Yuan rarely fights, so few have seen him in action and can guess his true strength. Fellow Daoist Qin should be careful if fighting him,” the red-dressed girl solemnly advised. She came from a major force with a saint overseeing them.
Hope flashed in her eyes as she continued, “Senior Su Chen is Fellow Daoist Qin’s elder brother. I wonder if he’ll come to watch this battle?”
“Probably?” Qin Hao said uncertainly. Over the years, Su Chen had helped him tremendously, but this time, Qin Hao wanted to deal with Qin Yuan with his own strength. Thus, he hadn’t informed Su Chen – he didn’t want to keep troubling his elder brother, especially now that he had reached the middle stage of the Nirvana Realm. His strength could be considered middle-level in the cultivation world already, with few who could threaten him. He couldn’t live under Su Chen’s protection forever.
When the girl spoke just now, Qin Hao clearly saw the others’ eyes brighten slightly, making him feel helpless. These people had partly befriended him for his potential, but more so to use the relationship to get close to Su Chen. After all, Su Chen’s reputation was now too terrifying – half the East Barrens would move with his command.
To have even some friendship with Su Chen meant that mentioning his name could solve any future troubles. But now, unlike before, not just anyone could get close to Su Chen. So many people and factions looked to Qin Hao – befriending him was like having ties to Su Chen!
“I heard from my brother some extraterrestrial experts came to the Shadowless Hall branch a few days ago. They met Qin Yuan and haven’t left yet,” said another, a winged demon.
A shiny scale on his forehead contained terrifying energy. If it erupted, it could destroy hundreds of miles. He was of the Feather Race, a big one among demons.
“Oh?” Flearing this, Qin Hao slowly turned, looking slightly surprised. The Shadowless Hall was no human faction, but a behemoth above ail races. Any race’s shockingly talented prodigy could cultivate there, demons included.
Everyone knew a Feather Race prodigy had been cultivating there for hundreds of years, much earlier than Qin Hao. It was said he had reached the Quasi-Saint Realm already, and in another few hundred years, would likely reach the Saint Realm – truly a genius, since not everyone could match Su Chen.
“Brother Yu, did your elder brother say where those experts were from?” Qin Hao asked curiously.
“It seems…they are from the Southern Region,” the Feather creature said uncertainly.
“The Southern Region?” Qin Hao repeated softly. The term was still unfamiliar. In his life, he had never met anyone from there. Only Huo Xi had crossed over once before, but Qin Hao hadn’t seen her or heard about the Southern Region.
“That’s right,” the creature of the Feather Race nodded, confirming his memory. “1 heard from my brother that it’s an ancient region that has declined, but recently burst with endless resources. Many great clans have awakened from seclusion, even Quasi-Emperor Realm powerhouses.”
“It’s said…” At this point, he looked deeply at Qin Hao and continued, “The saint king behind Senior Su Chen is a True Dragon, whose ancestral land is in the Southern Region.”
“Hmm?” Hearing this, Qin Hao’s pupils contracted, never expecting his friend’s casual mention of a region to relate to his elder brother. If so, perhaps his brother knew something about the Southern Region.
“I wonder why those Southern Region experts came to the Shadowless Hall branch?” Qin Hao muttered, eyes deep in thought. He wasn’t worried about these outsiders – they couldn’t interfere in his fight with Qin Yuan. At most, they would give Qin Yuan some hidden cards, but Qin Hao was confident he wasn’t inferior to Qin Yuan in that regard..
