Chapter 749: Spilling Blood
Chapter 749: Spilling Blood
"Annnd?"
"And, for that, I need you and Isak to come with me and be the spark that starts the blaze."
Burak saw Hao Xuan's smiling face through narrowed eyes and let out a deep sigh.
"Well, it could be worse. How do we do this then?"
"That's the spirit. We'll start from..."
Hao Xuan quickly explained the details of the plan and without wasting any more time all three of them jumped down one by one. The beast horde to the right of them was the one led by the humanoid Ether beast that looked more like a shepherd than anything else since all the beasts under it were herbivores.
These beasts didn't have very sharp senses. They were big, with the smallest one reaching a height of 2 meters and some of the larger ones reaching over 4-5 meters. Their heads and legs were covered in extremely thick skin along with various horns and spikes poking out here and there.
They provided enough cover spot for Hao Xuan, Burak, and Isak to hide in between them while moving forward.
To the right of this horde was the canine ether beast that looked like it was made from clay. All the beasts in its hordes had similar attributes with some having rock-hard skin and a few others even having precious metals and other ores and gemstones 'decorating' their hides.
To the front was the worm ether beast and to the left of the horde was the mutated toad beast.
Hao Xuan took the right side, going to the canine beasts. Burak took the left side with the toads and Isak went to the front where the creepy crawlies were.
Hao Xuan stood a few meters away from the edge so as not to spook the canine beasts and waited. He raised his head and looked at the bird ether beast on the ceiling.
Since Burak and Isak didn't have watches, Hao Xuan decided to use the bird beast as the signal. They all needed to attack together on all three fronts to give as little time as possible for them to understand what was happening and create panic.
The bird beast dug its talons in the ceiling some 400 meters in the air and moved around in circles.
They all watched and waited with bated breaths, waiting for it to reach the spot right above them before attacking.
Hao Xuan prepared himself. He couldn't use too much Qi or any flashy moves so as not to give himself away. When the time comes it would all have to be done as quickly as possible.
One minute, two minutes, three...almost seven minutes passed when the bird ether beast came closest it had ever been to them.
Hao Xuan opened the palm of his hand as his arms turned a shade of dark purple and veins popped along the sides.
'Assualt of the Mad God!'
Just give that little extra edge, Hao Xuan buffed himself even more and like a hungry wolf, lept forward.
Keeping as low as possible he extended both his arms to the sides and cut through the toughest part of the skin of the herbivore beasts.
*PRUEEEE*
*GROOWL*
*SQUEEEL*
An entire orchestra worth of anger-fuelled beastly noises came from each side, followed by even more a few seconds later. Hao Xuan moved from the herbivore side and when he had health enough damage and spilled enough blood, he ran into the canine packs patrolling right across from them.
*HOOOW-*
One of the larger canine beasts saw Hao Xuan and tried to warn others but before it could even open its maw all the way, the head had separated from the rest of its body.
The largest of the herbivore beasts that resembled rhinos from earth turned towards the noise and saw Hao Xuan who was a bloody silhouette at this point running deeper into the canine territory being chased by several other canine beasts.
To its simple eyes, it looked like some of the canine beasts had attacked and were now retreating back to safety so it did what came most naturally to it. It lowered its head that was adorned with eight giant horns and charged directly into the canine packs.
That was the first stone, and soon after came many more.
On the other two fronts Isak used his black flames while Burak utilized the words of power to achieve the exact same effect.
Within seconds the entire third level was in an uproar. Blood continued to spill, spurring the beasts to even more intense acts of violence until all of them were fighting against each other.
Tasgall and the rest looked at each other, nodding in confirmation.
