Chapter 514: "Skills"
Chapter 514: "Skills"
Dima rubbed the back of his aching head while laying on the ground. His gaze was fixed on the ceiling, recalling the memories of his childhood.
With a heavy-hearted sigh, he continued in a belittling tone, "Like its that easy to impress an Elder God. They have lived for eons, seen things we could never imagine. Their thoughts are completely mysterious to us, how can we mere mortals catch their eye? Even my father has never seen one, or maybe he has but couldn\'t tell."
The girl turned to the side and looked down at Dima, a smile appearing on her face seeing his \'lost-in-thought\' expression.
"Or you could just marry Lady Natalia ad live a happy life. Don\'t you want to be a \'kept man\'? You can do whatever you want while she flies around the universe, killing the \'heathens\' in the name of the gods. I\'m sure she wouldn\'t mind if you had a few concubines."
Dima\'s eyes returned to their previous luster and he quickly scoffed.
"Pff, please. All these zealots have weird hobbies and kinks. Who is to say she won\'t just tie me up in chains and feed me to the beasts? I can\'t risk my life on the off chance that this one isn\'t twisted in the head."
"Then what?"
Dima stood up and wiped his hands on his robe with a mischievous smile, "I\'ll just have to make her believe that we\'re not a good match hehehemuhahaha," he rubbed his hands while laughing diabolically.
The girl who had an intrigued look on her face till now rolled her eyes and leaned forward to slap Dima\'s bald head as hard as she could.
"Idiot."

Another 7,800 kilometers away from the Walking city of the Temple was a massive gorge, thousands of meters deep and wide, surrounded by gigantic trees on all sides reaching heights of hundreds of meters.
But even these otherwise massive trees couldn\'t hide a silhouette that was reaching all the way up to the first layer of clouds in the sky.
While the other two Walking cities were on the backs of four-legged beasts, Hall\'s city was on the shoulders of Colossus Stone Spirit.
Stone Spirit\'s or \'Stone Aspects\' as some called them, were born where from rocky mountains that had a spiritual root inside of them. They were creatures of heaven and earth rather than living beings that were born from others.
They came to be in nature after thousands of years of being surrounded by thick spiritual energy and could take any shape. Aspects don\'t have bodies of flesh so they couldn\'t bleed, get tired or even have a need to eat.
They are literal hulking masses of rock and stone that has been refined countless times by spiritual energy, becoming harder than even metals.
The Hall\'s city was on the back of this ten-thousand-year-old Stone Spirit and it had even started to form its own consciousness. It was four thousand meters tall, standing straight up. There were metal and stone deposits on its body that had been shaped into armor, further increasing its offensive power.
Its face looked human-like in the sense that had two eyes and a nose, but it only looked like a strange sculpture. (Reference image link in Author\'s notes.)
Right now this Stone Spirit was calmly kneeling on the edge of the gorge that looked like a giant scar on the surface from the planet, visible even from space.
On the ground behind the Spirit were three people. Two of them, a man and a woman, were sitting on a throne made of golden and white metals, giving of multicolored lights from the numerous sigils all over it. It looked more like a treasure than a normal throne.
The man had short black hair, a muscular physique, and a handsome visage. He wasn\'t wearing a shirt either. If Dima was here he would recognize this man instantly as Tian Zheng (Ch 450).
On his lap was a girl that looked frighteningly similar to him. She was slowly moving her dainty hands over his abs, feeling every nook and cranny over and over again.
But both of their gazes were fixed on the bloody scenes in front.
More than two hundred corpses laid there, all of them cut in half at the exact same spot. To the side was a bulky man in his early twenties. An old saber hung weakly from his waist, even swaying by the billowing wind sometimes.
He looked completely ordinary. If someone were to pass by him on the streets there be nothing eyecatching about him to grab their attention. But right now Tian Zheng and the girl\'s gazes were switching between the corpses and him, filled with awe.
Tian Zheng finally smiled and clapped thrice while bowing lightly, "It is truly an honor to be able to catch a glimpse of your skills, brother Xue Meng," he complimented with a reverent tone. (Ch 428).
