Chapter 107 Home: His Warmth, Her Fear
***************
CHAPTER 107
All through the ride home, Liu Xueyi and Andromeda remained silent. No one said a word concerning anything.
They had left the event quickly, evading everyone present just to calm down.
And as much as Andromeda was worried, she did not want to question his decisions and left with him.
On getting to her house, Liu Xueyi did not wait for her to go in for a change or even get a drink before he pulled her by the hand, bringing her body close to his.
She was shocked, to say the least by this sudden action. She knew he had been angry and feeling different but never expected this.
At that moment several thoughts ran through her mind as to why he was doing this. Not that she mattered much to her, she only wished to know what was going on in his head.
Lifting her eyes up to meet his, she witnessed the same dark phase they had been in just minutes ago when they were back at the event centre.
While the darkness swirled within, she noticed a flash of his emotions, just like how he had desired her that day in the kitchen.
"Andromeda," his husky voice rained down on her eardrums, as he battered his eyelids at her in the sexiest lazy manner she had ever seen.
He wasn\'t trying to seduce her, she knew that but even without trying, she couldn\'t help this feeling of being drawn to him. She wanted him. Wanted him to want her.
"Xueyi," her breathing slowed down, coming in hard and strong.
With the certain closeness and his hand clutched around her waist, going a bit low, coming to a stop on top of her firm behind... All she knew now was he was beautiful and perfect.
"I\'m angry," he started as a matter of fact.
Her fingers moved up, skating over his broad chest to his face again, rubbing in a gentle manner.
"Are you scared of me?" He asked out of the blue, releasing a deep breath. "I am sorry. I never meant to make you frightened. I notice your hands trembled when you tried to stop me and it..."
His words got stuck in his mouth as she stood on her toes a bit, thanks to her heels she didn\'t have to strain too much, then pressed her lips to his.
Her eyes dropped close, relaxing her worries while the smoothness of her palm appreciated his cheek.
The second their lips met, Liu Xueyi stilled for a second there.
He wasn\'t so sure, considering she had just gone through something rough but he could not deny that he wanted to hold her and protect her then shower her with his love.
Wait... Love?
Liu Xueyi parted his lips softly, closing his eyes to feel her warmth while expertly taking her lips between his as he slid his tongue out to lick the top of her lip.
She could not believe that she was scared but more importantly, she didn\'t want him feeling bad about any of it.
So she thought of stopping him and appreciating him. And all her brain could think off was this.
His kisses, she welcomed willfully and that should tell him and prove to him, no matter what, he was a million times better than Wu Bai.
After what seemed like forever, they broke the kiss and all that remained on her face was a warm smile that swept through her eyes.
"It doesn\'t matter. I did not fault you. Now, come in and have a seat. I would make us some hot tea or coffee."
"Coffee, please."
Andromeda gave a slight nod of her head and watched as he walked over to the couch and sat down gently while waiting for her to serve the tea.
When she was done, she returned with a tray holding two cups of coffee, some sugar and two spoons.
"Thanks." He leaned in, picking up one of the coffee and serving himself as he settled back in, ready for some conversation.
"By the way, I hope you are prepared for so many events that would be taking place in your life beginning from today?"
"Yes."
"Not only would you be bombarded with work but your private life as well would be disturbed," he pointed out as a matter of fact.
"I know. I also have designers when it comes to working. I can best assist them while bringing out their full potential. So we can work things out. It would be easy."
"Glad you have this positive vibe towards it. I just wanted to remind you."
"Sure. Also, while we are at it, I think we should soon discuss a raise, don\'t you think?" She sipped her coffee without much worry while keeping her eyes locked on him.
"Fine. Anything you want. It would be discussed with you. You do not have to worry."
"Better." They spent the next fifteen minutes speaking lightly about the show and suddenly his mood went cold.
Andromeda tensed when she felt the aura around him change and knew something was wrong.
"Liu Xueyi?"
He took his time before responding and when he did, all that came out was his care for her.
"I just hope he doesn\'t try to take advantage of you again." He shifted out of his seat, placed the cup down, and stood up.
"I hope that you."
"Good."
"If you are so worried about it, just think happy thoughts and..." she paused when he took a step closer to her, gulping by his towering yet imposing self.
"Are you sure you are fine, though?"
And Andromeda nodded slowly. "Okay, I know you will be fine. I would leave and you need to catch some rest. You deserve it all."
"Thanks.
"Alright, see you at work tomorrow."
He swirled his car keys on his fingertip and walked past the glass center table, heading to the door.
"It\'s Saturday tomorrow," Andromeda called out after him.
A subtle smile appeared on his lips the moment he turned around. "Yeah. I forgot. Pardon my mistake."
"It\'s nothing. I can rest more."
"Sure." He was about to take a turn when a thought came to mind. "By the way, I saw you and Sun\'s eldest son speaking. I hope he is not troubling you?"
For a second there, Andromeda was surprised that he saw that.
Indeed Sun Yichen came to the party and just like that, waltz up to meet her. Of course they met and he tried persuading her again but failed miserably.
"No," Andromeda affirmed.
"Good. Stay clear from him," Liu Xueyi dished his order carefully.
"Why? Jealous much?" She rose to her feet, placing one hand on her waist and awaited his response.
"Why would I be, when he thinks of you as my girl?"
A mischievous glint flashed in those eyes, starting charmingly at her before he winked, stealing her breath away.
He had a point. And one she couldn\'t refute too. It was she who played the dangerous game first.
"Good night, Andromeda."
