Chapter 778: Raw Skill
One had their head turned, one had their throat punctured and the last one had a hole in his chest. They were all breathless on the ground with blood pouring out of their respective wounds. The deaths were concise, the deaths were instant.
The effortless kill immediately turned their morale upside down as even the mighty of them all was in disbelief looking at his fallen subordinate. They didn’t even land a swing, only words that reached the enemies’ ears before they were gone.
“Impossible…” Nora who was standing on the sideline with his fellow, couldn’t believe what they had just seen. One blow from each, one death from each. His lips trembled before he darted against the lockless door.
(We are so close!) thought Nora after he darted from the scene toward Jugen at the far back. The blonde lady was in his arms with her eyes closed. Her breasts heaved slower than they used to. Her eyelids covered her consciousness, and a pair of her teeth were slightly visible from her gaped lips.
“It’s over,” Galaeron shook his head. “If they could kill the orcs with a single blow, imagine what they could do to the rest. Truly a monster, his family must be extraordinary if his guardians are this strong.”
Connak and Agist looked at their king with disbelief. The war had just begun, and the first blow might have favored Lyon’s side, but the latter was so confident in their capabilities that it would end with Lyon’s victory. They had never seen their king praise, someone, that heavily, especially one from the human race.
“Hmm! Don’t flatter!” shouted the chieftain. “Those are nothing but luck!”
“Sure,” Kesya answered with a grin. “Sadly, you’re really unlucky today, you just have to offend the one that you shouldn’t offend, furthermore, you’re doing so by severing her forearm off.”
“Tch! Shut up! You’re one to talk, you’re an Anti-Mana cultivator as well! If anything you should be on our side! Not theirs! We just want to go home! Our cultivation source is scarce! You out of everyone should know!” shouted the mighty orc.
“You out of everyone should shut up,” answered Assid. “Just because you have Anti-Mana you think you’re a god? Please, I didn’t even use mana, and your throat is still as soft as butter.”
“What did you say!” shouted one of the orcs. “We are the mighty race! Our skin and muscles are thic—GHGK!!”
Blood suddenly splurted out as four gentle fingers had punctured deep into the orc’s throat. All of them had their pupils following but he was moving quicker than their brains could process. They could only watch him pulling out his fingers before their fellow fell to his knees forward with his eyes looking at Assid with ghastly fear shrouding the last seconds of his life.
He pushed his glasses and averted the light that hid his gaze.
“Haaaa!! Attack!!!” shouted one of the orcs before the others let out a warcry as they all went toward Assid who was in the center of the battlefield.
“There is no rush in dying,” Kesya grinned before she leaped forward with her hands opened. “I’ll shred all of you!”
“Don’t hold me down,” said Assid as he adjusted his glasses.
“You too,” answered Kesya before both of them started to butcher the entire army on their own.
Under tens of wails from the vile creature, the bearer of Ragnar was looking at Lyon. The latter was the key.
“Ragnar!” the mighty orc shouted as he rushed forward toward his primary enemy.
“Hmph!” Lyon opened his arms before he rushed forward. “Feast the blood of your enemies, no need to tell me if they taste like shit either, Scarlet!”
The once was a crimson sword was now darker. The one-fourth soul of the eternal golem had been absorbed completely, with dark mist trailing out from the jewel at the hilt every time it moved.
“What the hell is that menacing weapon!” shouted Connak the moment he saw the dark mist trailing out.
“Die!” shouted the chieftain before he made a short jump and swung down the ax with unstoppable momentum.
“Hmph!” Lyon moved sideways to the left before he swung his sword upward. Blood immediately burst out from the orc’s shoulder to the latter’s disbelief (It cut through?!).
Galaeron and the rest of the battlefield were equally stunned. The chieftain had the thickest skin, and the toughest muscle, however, the sharp blade manage to cut through it. Even the tribe didn’t remember the last time they had seen him bleed.
“But it’s not enough!” said the chieftain before he plunged his foot toward Lyon’s chest. However, the latter yet again dodge by rotating after seeing the obvious advancement. Blood burst out once more once the barefoot of the chieftain pressed the ground.
“He is swift!” exclaimed Agist.
“You rat!” shouted the chief before he swung his ax with one hand horizontally and tried to hack Lyon in half. However, the latter quickly turned and pulled his right hand before thrusting the point of his sword against the thin edge of the ax.
The two weapons clash with a thunderous boom before they were revealed to be at an impasse. Lyon’s muscle and the chieftain’s muscle were twitching. The equal power, the equal strength, none of the weapons manage to break the other with their initial impact. The two immediately made a distance from each other.
“Kh!” the orc’s pupils shrunk in disbelief under his panting breath. Not a single human ever contested with him in terms of strength, yet here he was. A human, half his height, was able to stop his Ragnar from slicing something, on top of that matter, with a tip of a sword. (Impossible! Impossible!! IMPOSSIBLE!!! He must have used something! I should have been able to shred mana like paper!! What’s going on!).
Yoji grinned. “This is what Emperor is all about, raw skill. With his unique fighting style, nobody can stop him when he shut his mouth, not even horned demons.”
Lyon took a deep breath with his eyes closed before revealing three shades of color.
