Chapter 174 [Bonus ] 30: Lycan Fairytale!

Zell found the game most troublesome for the first time in his life, unable to interact with normal players but able to see them walking around, even riding carriages and bragging about how awesome they were.

"Damn kids... Don\'t even know what true hardship is..."

His body filled with sweat, unable to even relax as the moment he left the area of that carriage, a group of monsters began following him; at first, Zell thought about fighting them because he was pretty damn strong, right?

Wrong...!

The moment Zell used his system to see the basic information of these enemies, his feet moved faster than a man permitted to sleep with his wife\'s sexier twin.

Of course, that\'s running away from the divorce lawsuit and her trying to take half of his earnings...

Lycan Bloodhound (Level 55)

Grade: Demon Whelp (1 Attribute = 100 Human attributes)

A race of vicious werewolves who, due to the harsh training and torture, can no longer return to their human forms; almost all human thought is dead, following only their master\'s wishes and their desire to taste the flesh of their targets.

[Current Target: All people related to Edelgard Silvarén]

\'Fuck this! What kind of a game amps the difficulty up so damn high! She\'s just a cute fluffy waifu! Her body has more soft fur than Griselda!\'

It was not that he couldn\'t defeat one; his current attributes were probably equal or greater than a single hound, despite being 10 levels lower.

The problem was...

There was a pack of 20 of them!

Zell had discovered in this life that maybe he chose tamer for another reason: he was too enamoured with girls with beast parts, their ears, fluffy tails, and soft tufts of fur around her neck, not too much, but not too little.

\'Not far enough to be a furry...  but too far from being someone who likes a catgirl...\'

He was still exhausted from using Velos(Movement Skill) several times to save her; the muscles in his abdomen, arms and thighs were burning like somebody was pressing his entire body in a steaming hot bath filled with molten coal.

"Hah.... this is not fair...."

His eyes turning blue, a faint magical light glowing within them as the tireless bloodhounds chased onwards; gritting his teeth, Zell had no more choice; this was truly nightmare difficulty as his body began to tremble and looked down at the cute girl, now sleeping with a small smile, gentle breathing coming from her adorable nose.

"If we make it out of this alive..."

"Would you grant me the pleasure of taking your maiden kiss?"

-

Edelgard was sleepy, her body filled with no power as she floated in the air; at first, she believed herself dead, floating in the nether stream waiting to be collected and placed into another life.

However, she could hear the pained panting and breath from a male, his masculine voice sounding in her ears, causing her fright a first. The deep husky tone sends shivers down her spine, reminding her of Griselda, her powerful and fierce older sister.

\'It feels so comfortable... Forgive me, stranger... No, my saviour... I only hope that my presence hasn\'t put you in danger...\'

She tried to open her lips, but despite her greatest efforts, even moving them caused intense stabbing pain in her chest and neck; the poison was removed, but there was still great damage from the accident, crash and duration it had been affecting her.

\'He\'s in pain... So tired, why does he go so far for a stranger... I can smell those disgusting hounds that my mother had long banned from creation...\'

Even though she wanted to encourage him and give her thanks, even a single tear was too much for her to muster.

His warm breath, sweet like honey and almonds, blew into her nose as it relieved her, now flopping her body and entrusting herself to him completely.

\'I cannot move; the least I can do is avoid being troublesome or making a scene...\'

Edelgard began to desperately summon the holy magic that had slowly begun to recover, the wolfbane poison now released from her system, no longer stopping her regeneration and recovery.

\'Please, all mother... grant me the grace to heal his fatigue, this strong male that protects me despite great peril!\'

"Hah... this is not fair..."

Zell\'s tired voice sounded in her ears; she believed he was going to give up, abandon her, but then felt his soft hand stroking across her cheek, although it was a strange feeling for Edelgard, the first time a male had touched her since her father\'s passing, his rough fingers were much larger than hers, treating her like a precious object before sliding across her smooth skin and rubbing against her peach coloured, silky lips.

\'Ah~ don\'t touch... Lips are sacred...\'

Edelgard wanted to push him away and bite his cheeky fingers; for female werewolves of her family, there were two places sacred and only for one male.

Her lips and stomach this man had already intruded against her bare stomach, and now his hand threatened her very lips.

She felt fear, a strange sense of excitement, and then the image of her sister appeared, wishing she could save her.

But his next words took her mind to the romance stories she read about a male human and a werewolf princess; too scared to tell him the truth one day, her family lost all power and absconded from the throne, forced to flee to the darkness that man saves her, his black hair and red eyes all she remembers...

Then...

"Would you grant me the pleasure of taking your maiden kiss?"

Just like in the book, Zell\'s charming and magnetic voice caused chaos in the young Lycan\'s mind; he only knew this phrase after teasing Griselda once as she told him about her past, the stories she read and one her little sister was especially fond of.

Zell wanted to be a little cheeky, but mostly, he wanted the girl who began to stir in his arms to relax and feel calm with a story that her older sister would tell her.

He only knew they were related thanks to the system and its metagaming, giving him her true name.

Edelgard Silvarén

With a bitter smile, he didn\'t notice her small eyes flickering, opening to see his handsome face, pale from the overwork, her glistening eyes filled with shock and awe as he matched the story perfectly, eyes, hair, face...

Everything was like the book her sister would read her when she was a pup.

\'Was that book true? Is this male my future knight? Will he keep protecting me even in the darkest moments of my kingdom? Even reuniting me with my long lost sister!?\'

If Zell had known more about Lycan\'s and their extremely loyal and powerful imagination, maybe he wouldn\'t have used that memory; somehow, the description of the male left his mind due to not caring about a damn male.

It was like the saying, "A dog is man\'s best friend."

But Zell didn\'t know, and now after his words left his lips, it was too late as Edelgards\'s mind began to escape into fantasy as a magical thing happened a moment later.

Zell didn\'t have time to check if his incubus scent and sweet words had unwittingly drawn the attention of his cute noble wolf, Griselda\'s adorable little sister.

\'Please work; my body, please don\'t fail me now! A dragon and incubus cannot fall apart from some measly ninja-style skills!\'

Gritting his teeth, Zell began to channel his mana within his abdomen before sending it towards his legs, enveloping them with a thick mist.

All he knew was that he had to move quickly, but his body was filled with pain and exhaustion.

He had to rely on his instincts and the magic that flowed within him to make his escape. Zell channelled his mana with a deep breath and activated his Phantom Walk skill.

Suddenly, his body was enveloped in a mist-like aura, and he felt lighter than air. He took off towards the southern forest, carrying the young girl in his arms.

Despite the pain and fatigue wrapping his body, Zell felt a surge of energy as he moved through the shadows like a phantom. He covered 30 meters instantly, then vanished before reappearing behind a large rock.

He peeked out from behind the cover, scanning the area for signs of danger.

\'Good, those bastards are more than 500 metres away now... Ugh...\'

Blood began to ooze from his nose, dripping onto the cute girl\'s face, sliding into her lips as she tasted the sweet flavour and slightly bitter taste of iron.

\'He\'s bleeding? My knight... what is happening? Why did I feel like we were flying in the air!?\'

Despite it tearing apart his body, relying on his superior regeneration to recover after a few moments, then repeated this process several times, moving from shadow to shadow with remarkable speed and agility.

\'His body... it\'s making horrid sounds... why don\'t we stop... you can give me up... don\'t push yourself so far...\'

He could feel the cooldown timer ticking in his head, desperately hoping it would reset quicker, but he didn\'t let that stop him. This cute girl had to be protected, no matter the cost.

Edelgard was a soft girl, always caring and considerate of those beneath her, from the animals in the garden and the people who served her mother.

She could feel his body, the pounding of his heart as if he was having a heart attack, the surging of his blood and the desperate function of his body at their limits.

Her Lycan senses far being a normal girl, she wanted to help, that golden light in her stomach finally as big as a small golf ball, but it wasn\'t enough... His pain and suffering were like an ocean compared to this tiny ball.

Gritting her teeth, Edelgard also pushed her body to the limits for the first time in her life. She tried her best at magic, something that this little princess would only pretend to try, never wanting to endure the feeling as magic passed through her body, making her feel like a naughty girl.

It felt good but painful as the golden mana began to flood from her veins, dragging towards a single point.

Zell\'s body.

\'Should I use Velos... One more time...\' Zell thought, as his arms began to shudder, the blood now coming from his ears and a little from his eyes; there was a limit to all things; Zell didn\'t want to admit it, but he wasn\'t a god or close to them.

His grade was merely the same level as a demon whelp...

The limit was close.

Bzzt!

"N....no... Once more! I must get her to safety...."

Finally, after an eternity, Zell and the girl reached the edge of the southern forest.

Through sheer will, his body began to vanish, a deep booming sound as the pair teleported once more, activating Velos to enter the safe area of the Silvan forest; during transit, he could feel his muscles tearing apart, the very bones now filled with small cracks.

This was a nightmare...

and he...

Was fucked...

The moment he materialised inside the forest barrier, something that thankfully still existed and would not allow anyone past the level of 55 to enter, his body collapsed onto the ground, still turning himself over and making sure the girl fell onto his chest.

"Ugh...."

Zell couldn\'t bare the pain, he could feel a strange heat slowly pushing into his broken body, but the terrible pain stopped him from any coherent thoughts as he grasped the surrounding dirt and began to scrape at him, his hands transforming into his demon claws, body filling with black scales thrashing about.

"S-stop.... don\'t fight..." Edelgards\'s soft voice sounded.

Finally, she was able to move and speak, pressing the raging beast to the ground as sticky blood pooled from his mouth and nose, her hands glowing with a brilliant gold colour as she pushed down on his chest, her hips riding over his pelvis, trying to ignore the hard lance pressing against her body.

\'I won\'t let him die... My knight will live!\'

A golden glint flashed across her emerald eyes as she watched Zell, donned in his black jacket and steel masquerade mask across her face.
