Chapter 104 - Nightmare

"come now Lee, if you don\'t hurry we\'ll end up being late to making dinner and you know how your father will get" everything was dark, but she would know that voice anywhere if she heard it again. Plus, there was only one person who ever used to call by that nickname- her mother.

"I know that you want to stay out longer to play, but it\'s getting dark, we\'ll come back tomorrow I promise." Of course, it would be this scene. If the princess ever had a nightmare about her mother, it would always be this one. Subconsciously she knew that it was dream even as she listened to the events play out, but to her conscious- it felt as well as the day everything had happened.

Lena felt herself being jolted out of sleep right before the worst part of the nightmare it hit. Her eyes snapped open. she had expected that the person who had woken up her up would\'ve been Samuel, but she was surprised to see her brother leaning over her, a slightly concerned and confused expression on his face.

"Glad to see you finally decided to come back to the land of the living, it seemed like you were having quite a bad nightmare there." Leo commented as he took a step back to give Lena space. She had fallen into such a deep sleep that she had forgotten where she was until she looked around.

She then remembered that she had been in the sunroom and decided to take a nap before dinner as she was getting a rather bad headache from all the work that she had been doing. She closed her eyes in order as she took a deep breath to calm herself. It had been a year since she had that nightmare. She could only think that it was due to talking about family with Samuel that brought it on.

"Are you going to be okay?" Leo asked when he noticed how quiet the princess was being despite being fully awake now.

"I\'ll be fine. It was just a bad dream." She replied, she paused a second before looking up at him.

"Thank you for waking me up."

"It\'s no problem. I would\'ve woken you up sooner, but I wasn\'t sure how you would react to someone suddenly touching while you seemed to be having a bad dream." Her brother replied, shrugging it off as though it wasn\'t that big of a deal.

"I thought that you weren\'t having nightmares anymore. Did you tell father you\'re still having them?" He then asked, knowing that Zane would want to know such a thing.

"No, but I haven\'t said anything to him because this is the first nightmare that I have had in the last year." She replied sitting up. When she was younger she used to have all the time after everything happened. It had gotten to the point that she would refuse to sleep for long periods of time knowing that if she did sleep, the events would reply over and over again in her dreams.

"If it happens again, you should let him know. Sammy probably too. I know it\'s not something that you like to talk much about, but at some point in time you\'re going to have tell him about what happened. I\'m sure he\'s curious to know." She knew that Leo was right when he said this, but it wasn\'t something that she was ready to talk about, not yet at least.

"I will tell him at the right time." Lena replied with a sigh. For various reasons, she didn\'t want to be talking with anyone about it right now. She was certain that it was a one-off event anyways and that she wouldn\'t have it again. Though, she wasn\'t quite sure why she was having a slightly bad feeling at the back of her mind after the nightmare, she had never dealt with that in the past.

"He\'s your finance so it\'s up to you how you chose to deal with everything. I\'m just offering some friendly advice." Her brother told her as she took a seat in one of the other chairs.

"If you\'re feeling up to it, dinner is ready. I wouldn\'t be surprised if the rest of the family isn\'t starting to wonder why five members are suddenly missing from the table." The mention of more than just the two of them missing from the table caught attention.

"Who else is missing?" She asked, she didn\'t think that her father had anywhere to be tonight, but who the other two were, she couldn\'t easily figured out.

"Uncle Julian had a business dinner tonight so he wouldn\'t be coming home until later. And then father and Sammy are apparently meeting in his office. I believe they are discussing college options and what that might look like." He replied as he glanced towards the door of the sunroom.

"I had no idea that you were thinking about going to college. You bever brought that up before." He commented looking back over at his sister.

"I\'m not, Samuel is the one who\'s considering it. After working with me, he\'s thinking about getting a degree that he feels would be more beneficial to what he\'s doing." The princess explained as she stood up. Even though she wasn\'t feeling that hungry, she knew that she would need to eat dinner or at least show up at the table. If she didn\'t, she knew that her father would know something is up.

"You would let him go to college?" Leo asked curious to know what his sister\'s thoughts on the matter were.

"Yes, but within certain boundaries. We already discussed that if he did end up going, it would most likely be to a college with an online degree that way it would be safer and eliminate any risks of anything happening." Lena replied.

"Since it would be a year before he would start, I\'m open to other suggestions, but not opposed to keeping him here at the estate until everything going on right now is sorted out.". She explained when she saw the look that Leo was giving her.

"Never imagined that my sister would the protective type." He told her with a grin before heading towards the door. Even though he couldn\'t see her face, she was certain that she shot him a look that said he was pushing his luck again.
