Chapter 87 - LUCAS' JEALOUSLY
"Thank you, Mr. Juno for your help. I am very impressed with the results of the interior design."
Ellena stood in front of Juno while throwing a happy grin, seeing that the cake shop she was going to manage had been successfully transformed into a more beautiful and comfortable one.
Because of the persistent collaboration of Juno and his work team, finally the interior design that Ellena wanted could be completed in just one day.
Beside Ellena, Lucas, who had accompanied her from the start to the bakery, was still not operating. It seems Juno's words were proven. In fact, Lucas did not give permission to Ellena to go alone with Juno.
"You're welcome, Miss. This is all thanks to you who are also good at choosing designs." Juno replied, praising.
Ellena replied with a smile. "Ah, if it wasn't for Mr. Juno's direction, I also don't know which design to choose." She said, indirectly throwing a sentence of praise.
"I'm just doing what I'm supposed to do, Miss." Juno replied casually.
"Ahem!"
Juno and Ellena's attention was distracted when they heard a loud snort from Lucas, as if showing disapproval.
This suddenly made Juno feel bad, because he thought Lucas was bothered by his conversation with Ellena. Even more so when he accidentally complimented her in front of Lucas, even though there wasn't really anything special about the compliments. However, Lucas seems to have responded differently.
"Mr. Lucas, what do you think?"
Lucas turned his head when he got a question from Juno.
"Good, I like it." Lucas replied flatly, nodding slowly.
Juno smiled to get a positive response from his client. However, he still felt uncomfortable with Lucas' cold attitude. Ah, he shouldn't have had to praise Ellena earlier. He didn't expect that the simple compliment he gave to Ellena, actually made Lucas' mood turn into a mess.
"Well, since my work is done, it seems I have to say goodbye now, because I have some work to finish elsewhere." Juno explained choosing to end their meeting.
"Shouldn't we have coffee first?" Lucas asked just casually.
"It's an honor for me, but maybe another time, Mr. Lucas. I really don't have much time today." Juno said respectfully.
Instead of having to linger watching Lucas' cold expression, he chose to leave immediately. It seemed that avoiding and staying away from the famous businessman's wife would be much better. At least Lucas wouldn't think negatively about him.
"Okay then. I guess I won't be able to force you either." Lucas replied in a flat tone, of course because he was still annoyed with Juno's attitude towards his wife.
Juno and the rest of the work team left, after finishing their work. Meanwhile, Ellena and Lucas were standing in front of the shop watching Juno's car pass from there.
"Even though you've only known each other for two days, but you already look very familiar."
Ellena turned to the side, feeling offended by Lucas' words which she believed were meant to be directed at her.
"You talking to me?" Ellena frowned as she looked at him probingly, just to make sure.
"No, I'm talking to a mosquito."
Lucas was cold and immediately turned around and entered the building that had been transformed into a bakery with a luxurious and elegant interior design. The room with an area of 108 meters looks dominated by white and green, according to the colors chosen by Ellena.
On the left there are several storefronts that are lined up and will be used to store the pastries produced, right next to the cashier's desk. Meanwhile, on the right, there are several pairs of tables and chairs that are deliberately designed for visitors who want to eat cake directly there.
"Lucas, what do you mean?" Ellena followed Lucas behind. Really she still didn't understand where Lucas' words would lead to.
Lucas just didn't move and looked around in several directions. For the umpteenth time he observed the work of Juno and his team.
It is undeniable that their work is very satisfying. Apparently, he did not choose the interior designer for the cake shop which will be managed directly by his wife. However, he honestly felt jealous seeing Juno and Ellena's closeness.
Lucas saw that they were quite close, even though they had only known each other for two days. For some reason he didn't like seeing them close, especially when he found Ellena who was so relaxed facing Juno. Not as stiff as when faced with it.
Ah, it feels like he's jealous of Juno who can immediately establish a good relationship with Ellena. While he who incidentally is the husband of that woman, in fact he can't make Ellena that relaxed.
"Lucas, you didn't answer my question?" Ellena urged Lucas who just didn't flinch.
Lucas turned around when Ellena's hand suddenly grabbed the sleeve of the shirt he was wearing. He only responded to the woman in front of him with a loud snort, because he was annoyed and lazy to argue.
"I didn't say anything!" Lucas denied.
"Liar! I heard it," replied Ellena not wanting to lose.
'Then why do you ask, if you heard it? Can't you just respond right away, without having to question what I said again?' Lucas grunted inwardly.
"What did you hear? What did I say, huh?" Lucas rolled his eyes as he wanted to show his annoyance.
Ellena looked confused looking for the right answer to respond to Lucas' question, while she didn't really hear what Lucas said.
"I-I—"
"Ah, never mind, Elle. Let's just say I'm talking to a mosquito." Lucas cut off Ellena who still looked confused. "Mosquitoes that can always make me crazy!" He continued with great emphasis as he walked away from Ellena.
"Hey! What do you mean?"
Ellena rushed after Lucas who was accelerating his pace towards the car parked in front of the bakery. Even Lucas immediately entered the car, without caring about her who was still trying to catch up.
Ellena failed to follow Lucas, when she found a familiar car suddenly stopped in front of the building that was going to be used as a bakery, not far from Lucas's car.
"Mr. Juno? Why do you come back again?" asked Ellena when the owner of the car had appeared in front of her.
"There's a design file left, miss. I think you're home." Juno seemed to smile at Ellena so friendly.
"Oh, I was just about to go home, Sir." Ellena replied to Juno's words with a smile that was no less broad.
Lucas who was already sitting in the driver's seat looked annoyed, when he realized Juno had returned to that place. Not wanting to see his wife together with the man for too long, he was forced to get back out of the car.
"Honey, shouldn't we go back soon?"
Suddenly Lucas was standing beside Ellena and embracing the woman so tenderly. It suddenly made Ellena look surprised and amused by Lucas' arms around her waist.
Ellena slightly moved her waist to the left and right, feeling tickled by the touch of Lucas's fingers that gave a little soft caress there. She wanted to hit Lucas' hand hard, but she couldn't because she was aware of Juno's presence in front of her.
Meanwhile, Juno, who realized this, only frowned in surprise at Ellena's body movements. However, his expression suddenly turned into a wide grin, when he saw Lucas' naughty hand was the cause.
What was happening right now made him even more sure that Lucas was jealous of him. He doesn't know what Lucas was jealous of.
"Sorry, Mr. Juno, we have other needs, excuse me." Lucas didn't give Ellena the slightest chance to refute his words.
"Okay, Mr. Lucas. Please." Juno welcomes while smiling awkwardly at them.
"We go first, Mr. Juno." Ellena waved slowly as she continued to walk, due to the push from Lucas' hand that still hadn't left her waist. Even Lucas slightly dragged her to get into the car.
"Do you have to wave like that?" Lucas growled as he sat in the driver's seat, right next to Ellena.
"So what?" Ellena asked innocently and still didn't realize that Lucas was burning with jealousy.
Lucas just chuckled in annoyance and immediately started the car engine, not wanting to ignore Ellena's question.
"You're so weird, Lucas."
Ellena glared at him for a moment, before she decided to look out the window and look at Juno who was still standing in the same place looking at Lucas' car.
Didn't last long. Suddenly Lucas' car sped up so fast, it suddenly made Ellena bounce into the back of the car seat.
"Lucas, are you crazy, huh? Can't you just drive slower?" Ellena protested while rolling her eyes in anger.
Ellena hastily crossed her seatbelt before Lucas' action sent her bouncing forward. Lucas really drove like a crazy person, until she almost had a heart attack from fear.
"Why, Elle? Didn't I drive as usual?" Lucas responded with his gaze still focused ahead, while his hands seemed to be busy turning the steering wheel left and right alternately.
"You're crazy, Lucas!" Ellena cursed when Lucas actually accelerated the speed of the wheel.
"Just kill me, Lucas! Instead of torturing me like this!"
Ellena's right hand held firmly on the seatbelt that was already attached to her body, while her left hand held on to the hand grip that was right above the car door.
Lucas' action this time really spurred Ellena's adrenaline. How could Lucas drive a car that fast, when he was carrying other passengers, especially since the passenger was his own wife?
Oh, Lucas is really crazy! The fire of jealousy had completely blinded his heart, so he dared to take such a high risk. Wasn't he afraid if something happened to Ellena? Perhaps not the slightest question crossed Lucas' head, which was already covered in black fog.
"Are you scared, Elle?" Lucas grinned bitterly without shifting his focus to Ellena.
"Of course I'm scared. What are you crazy about?" shouted Ellena while giggling perfectly.
'But your fear is nothing compared to my fear of losing you, Elle..' Lucas responded inwardly.
