Chapter 324

A security guard quickly noticed that something strange was going on. He came over and asked, “Hey, what are you doing?”

Ji Qingqing heard the sound of someone coming to her rescue. She kicked her feet hard on the car door and her mouth that was sealed with tape made a muffled sound to draw attention to where she was.

Seeing that the situation was awry, the security guard drew out his baton, pointed it at the man in the black hat, and said sharply, “What’s happening inside? Open the car door.”

As soon as he said this, he was getting ready to press the button on his walkie-talkie.

When the black-hooded man noticed that the security guard was about to press the walkie-talkie button, he dashed over. The two quickly got into a fight.

The security guard’s baton rolled away when he was thrown to the ground. He also got scratched in the process. After a while, he was violently beaten. The man in the black hood took this opportunity and continuously punched the security guard directly in the face. Luckily, the security guard was able to fight back and threw the hooded man to the ground.

Ji Qingqing propped herself up on her shoulders and looked out through the car window. She saw that the two of them were still entangled in a fight. Taking the chance, she tried to open the door with her hand, however, it was locked. She then tried to look around for a sharp blade that could cut the rope that bound her hands and feet, but her search turned up nothing.

While she was struggling, the phone was kicked from the back seat to the front. Ji Qingqing attempted to hook it with her tied hands but was unable to do so.

The fight between the two continued, so Ji Qingqing struggled hard but failed to untangle the ropes that were around her hands and feet in the end. Not sure how long it took, Ji Qingqing fell exhausted in the back seat, sweat pouring down her face profusely.

She finally saw the black-hooded man covered in blood return to the driver’s seat. He cocked his head and cast a sidelong glance at her.

Ji Qingqing’s heart froze in fear.

Raising her head to look out of the car window, the security guard lay not far away, not moving.

“Hnghhh, hnghh, hnghh–” Ji Qingqing could only whimper anxiously.

The man in the black hat turned his head and was about to start the vehicle when the sound of a swift car brake sounded out.

Lu Lixing had arrived.

He came to the underground parking lot Ji Qingqing had told him about on the phone, hurriedly got out of the car, and searched for the familiar license plate number among the rows of cars.

He was short of breath, his heartbeat was in chaos, and his eyes quickly locked on to the security guard not far from the driveway.

Lu Lixing shifted his gaze and glanced at the black-hooded man who was about to drive away. Soon, Ji Qingqing’s anxious face, with her hands and feet tied in the back seat, appeared in his line of sight.

“Ji Qingqing!”

The black-hooded man stepped on the gas hard and slammed straight toward Lu Lixing. Ji Qingqing saw this, quickly forced herself to sit up, and slammed her fists onto the black-hooded man in the driver’s seat. The black-hooded man turned sideways, making the steering wheel turn to the left. The route shifted and the car passed Lu Lixing without hitting him.

The man in the black hat turned his head and glanced at Ji Qingqing fiercely, turned the steering wheel, and drove toward the exit.

However, before he reached the exit, rapid siren sounds of police cars were heard.

“Police?” The man in a black hat turned his head and stared at Ji Qingqing fiercely. His gaze fell on the mobile phone that fell to the ground. Noticing that the call interface was on display he asked, “You dared to call the police?!”

Four police cars already came in from the entrance, blocking the front, flashing red and blue lights. The man in the black hat slammed on the brakes and glanced at the rearview mirror in an attempt to go through other passages, but Lu Lixing had already driven after him, blocking the road from behind.

There’s no way for him to escape.

The man in the black hat glared at Ji Qingqing fiercely. He suddenly got out, opened the car door at Ji Qingqing’s back seat, and lifted her out. Holding the short knife, he crossed Ji Qingqing’s neck and hid behind the car.

The police also got out of their cars, surrounded them in a semi-encirclement posture, and shouted loudly, “We’re the police! Immediately release the hostage behind the car!”

The black-hooded man’s palms were sweaty. The short knife in his hand was against Ji Qingqing’s neck as he gritted his teeth and screamed, “Go away! Otherwise, I’ll kill her right now!”

Seven or eight policemen also got out of their cars and raised their guns.

“If you have something to say, calm down. If you have any requests, you can ask us, but please don’t hurt the hostage!”

Just as the police were negotiating with the man in the black hat, Lu Lixing quietly got out of the co-pilot seat, and walked around from behind. He gave the police a gesture, avoided the man wearing a black hat, and went around behind him. He hid behind a pillar and stealthily walked in the direction of the man step by step.

“I don’t want anything, just let us go!” The knife in the black-hooded man’s hand was held in the palm of his hand and the sharp tip was aimed at Ji Qingqing’s neck.

He agitatedly exclaimed, “Don’t play tricks with me! Don’t even try to lie, leave us now. Otherwise, I’ll kill her right away!”

His emotional instability was at its highest point, and Ji Qingqing was able to feel the chill of the blade and the coldness of his skin.

This sensation… it feels creepy like a bone clinging to me.

Lu Lixing hid behind them. When he saw this, he abruptly grabbed the short knife from behind and pushed Ji Qingqing to the left with his other hand.

Ji Qingqing wasn’t able to react, she staggered abruptly and rushed forward. Several policemen who waited for this opportunity rushed forward quickly. Others caught the man in black and put him in handcuffs while others escorted her to a safe place.

Wailing and fighting sounds continued to sound behind her. The tape on Ji Qingqing’s mouth was torn apart by a policeman, the ropes on her hands and feet were cut off, and she finally regained her freedom.

After a while, movement finally ceased.

The man in the black hat was detained on the ground by Lu Lixing and several police officers.

——”Host, you only have one minute left.”

Lu Lixing looked at the black-hooded man who was handcuffed, got up and turned his head. He wanted to take a look at the safety of Ji Qingqing first, who had been rescued.

I was too hasty just now and I don’t know if she was injured.

He breathed laboriously, searching back and forth in the crowd with his gaze. The second he met Ji Qingqing gaze, his eyes suddenly fell into darkness, and the severe pain from his heart forced him to kneel down on one knee.
