Chapter 26 - CONFUSED

The next morning. Waking up, Ellena went straight to the toilet. After she finished washing her face and brushing her teeth, she went straight down to the ground floor. She intends to do homework.

At the end of the stairs, she stopped her steps and then looked at Lucas' room, the door was still tightly closed. It seemed Lucas hadn't woken up yet, or maybe he was getting ready to go to work. It didn't take long, Ellena stepped back.

The first room he visited was the kitchen. Initially she intended to cook the breakfast menu this morning. However, since there was not a shred of food that could be processed, she decided to go to another room.

"Just a big house, but no food available!" she grumbled as she walked into the living room.

Ellena could immediately breathe fresh air, as soon as she managed to open the front door. She spread her arms freely, then inhaled, letting the fresh air enter deeper into her nostrils. Instantly she exhaled slowly and did that over and over again.

"Ah, the air is so fresh." Ellena closed her eyes, feeling every oxygen coursing through her body.

Ellena had been in that position for quite a while. Until after feeling quite satisfied, she ended his activities.

Ellena went back into the house. Again she looked at Lucas' bedroom door. However, it seemed that there was still no sign of life in the room. 'Isn't Lucas going to work? Why hasn't he woken up yet? Isn't it already noon?' she muttered to herself.

Ellena decided to go to the room, intending to wake Lucas up. Just as she raised her hand to knock on the door, suddenly the bedroom door opened. Lucas was seen standing in front of her still wearing his sleeping clothes. His face looked a little pale, maybe because it hadn't been washed. In a flash she lowered his hand again.

"Sorry, I thought you weren't awake yet." Ellena grinned shyly.

"It's only been one night without sleeping in one room, you already miss me like that." Lucas had an even expression.

Ellena only responded by pouting her lips. According to her, Lucas was too confident in that. She then shifted her body to the side, giving Lucas access.

Lucas came out. He walked through Ellena to the living room not far from his room. Where they watch television.

"Aren't you going to work?" Ellena asked, following Lucas behind him.

"What's your business?" Lucas landed on the couch.

Lucas' attitude this morning was very cold. Unlike before, who loved to tease Ellena. However, that was how Lucas really was. He will be cold to people who have not been too close to him.

Feeling uneasy seeing Lucas' attitude, Ellena decided to leave that place. Looking at the man's cold attitude for a long time will only make her angry. It's also useless to invite Lucas to talk, if only answered as necessary.

"Sorry, I was just asking. Excuse me." Ellena walked away from Lucas.

"Wait!" Lucas' call suddenly made Ellena stop.

Ellena turned around, looked at Lucas with her eyebrows furrowed together. Sometimes, she was surprised by Lucas' attitude that changed so quickly. 'Was Lucas really not that consistent?' So she thought.

"Today a maid will come, her name is Maria," Lucas announced. He massaged his head a little, either because he was dizzy or still sleepy.

"Didn't I tell you, there is no need for a maid in this house. I can do the housework myself." Ellena again refused. "Besides, I also don't have other activities. So, I think doing homework will be good to fill my free time while being your wife," she explained later.

"I don't like being denied!" Lucas said angrily.

Hearing her husband's broken emotions in the room, she couldn't do much but just obey. She immediately looked down, no longer daring to look at Lucas who was looking at her scornfully. She felt that something was bothering Lucas right now, so the man suddenly turned violent again.

"Okay, I'm sorry," said Ellena immediately turned around, intending to quickly dodge.

"Did I tell you to leave?" Once again, Lucas made Ellena discouraged.

Ellena snorted in annoyance. Lucas' attitude really confused her. When she spoke, the man was cold and angry with her. She tried to dodge, but Lucas held her back. She went awry with her husband.

Reluctantly, Ellena turned back to Lucas who still seemed to be massaging her forehead slowly.

"I'm going to clean this house," Ellena announced softly.

"Then why would I hire a maid in this house, if you have to clean the house yourself?" Lucas lowered his hand from his forehead, then looked at Ellena so sarcastically.

This of course made Ellena confused what to answer.

"What can I do for you?" asked Ellena in a low voice.

"Oow!" Lucas shrieked, clutching his head. I don't know what's going on with that guy.

Seeing Lucas, who was wincing in pain, suddenly surprised Ellena. In fact, she was at a loss as to what to do.

"What happened to you?" Ellena approached Lucas doubtfully. She crouched down in front of the sofa where Lucas was sitting. She took the man's hand that was holding his forehead.

"Are you sick?" Ellena confirmed while looking at Lucas' face seriously.

Ellena's attitude this time made Lucas stunned, even suddenly the pain in his head seemed to disappear. He looked deeply at Ellena, and vice versa. Their gazes locked for a moment.

"Please tell me, what should I do?" asked Ellena looking very confused.

"Oow!" Instead of answering, Lucas just grimaced.

"What happened to you?" Ellena was even more surprised by Lucas' moans this time. She was confused what to do. Finally, she helped lay Lucas down on the sofa.

"You rest first," she said after Lucas lay perfectly. "Is there any medicine in this house that can ease your pain?" she asked then.

"I don't have any medicine," Lucas replied.

Ellena is getting confused about what to do in a house where there is not even drinking water. "Tell me what to do? Do you want me to take you to the hospital?" she asked for sure

"No need. I just need some time to rest." Lucas closed his eyes.

I don't know what's going on with Lucas, that he can suddenly get sick like that.

Ellena looked at Lucas with pity. She couldn't bear to look at Lucas, who had always looked strong, but turned out to be weak because of the pain in his head.

"Okay, you'd better rest. I'm going to the kitchen to boil some water.." Ellena got up, then immediately moved from that place to the kitchen.
