Chapter 38 Young Master
Soon after, the car drove into a congested area. This location appeared to be a market. Raydon assumed this was the antique market Belicia had mentioned.
After Belicia paid the driver, they exited the vehicle and made their way inside the market\'s crowded entrance. Despite the fact that it was very crowded, Belicia\'s maid costume kept people from blocking their path.
As Raydon moved forward, he peered at the stalls nearby, but all he could see were genuine antiques.
"This is not the location we are looking for, but don\'t worry, we are almost there." As Raydon followed her, Belicia said and carried on walking.
He soon realized that they were moving in the direction of a sizable, stylish-looking store. He was drawn to the sign on the building\'s door. \'Other World Antiques\' was written on the sign.
The interior was as spacious and opulent as it appeared to be from the outside when he walked in.
As soon as Belicia entered the shop, a woman rushed up to greet her. She bowed her head and said in a polite and courteous manner, \'\'Please accept my greetings, madam. If you wait a moment, I will notify my superior. He would be the one to take care of your needs. Would you like something to drink while you wait?"
\'\'There\'s no need, thanks. \'\' Belicia waved her hand.
\'\'All right, if you need anything, just let me know. I apologize for keeping you waiting.\'\' The woman said it as gently as she could.
The woman then noticed Raydon. Her demeanor abruptly changed as she turned to face him. She lost all trace of the kind attitude she had earlier displayed toward Belicia.
She saw Belicia walk over to one of the waiting chairs and sit down, and she quietly called out to Raydon. \'\'Hey, you. I\'m sorry, but we\'re closing now. If you need anything, you should return later.\'\'
In a startled reaction to the employee\'s statement, Raydon, who had been trailing Belicia, turned to face her.
He pointed to himself in confusion, "Are you talking to me?"
"Yes, I\'m telling you. Is there anyone else here with whom I can speak besides you? I asked if you could leave without wasting my time because we are now closed. \'\' She continued to speak in an insulting manner. As she observed Raydon\'s attire and his untidy appearance, the disgust on her face intensified.
\'Where did this beggar come from at the exact time that such a significant guest arrived? \' After a brief moment of thought, the woman pulled her wallet from the pocket of her blazer jacket and handed Raydon some cash.
"Look, I\'m sorry, but I just don\'t have the time to take care of you right now. I am familiar with people like you. After making it as though you want to buy something, you try to steal something. While I still have patience, take this money and leave because I\'m really busy. \'\' Still glaring at Belicia, she whispered to Raydon.
Raydon looked at the money the woman was holding out and said after taking it and putting it in his pocket. \'\'I believe there is a misunderstanding. I came with the maid who was sitting there.\'\' He said, pointing to Belicia.
Belicia, meanwhile, sat quietly, despite the fact that she was clearly aware of everything. Her expression suggested that she was about to laugh but was holding back.
\'\'Look, enough already, okay? If you keep doing this, I\'ll have to resort to force.\'\' The woman spoke threateningly to Raydon.
\'\'Haha, look who just came! You\'ve honored our little shop, and I apologize for keeping you waiting.\'\' Coming down the stairs, an elderly white-bearded man said with a heartfelt smile and approached Belicia.
Belicia stood up and said. \'\'It\'s alright, I just got here not too long ago.\'\'
\'\'Good, good. I won\'t waste any more of your time. Please allow me to take you to the VIP room. \'\' The man politely motioned Belicia to another door before returning his gaze to his employee.
\'\'What are you up to? You didn\'t even inform me that an important guest had arrived. If I hadn\'t come here because I had something to do, our honored guest would have wasted even more of her time. \'\'Angrily, the man addressed the woman.
\'\'I\'m truly sorry, sir. I was going to come right away to inform you, but I was trying to get him out so that this man wouldn\'t bother our guest.\'\' With a trembling voice, the woman pointed to Raydon.
After glancing at Belicia and observing her lack of interest, the man sighed and said. "Call security, then take him outside. Additionally, tell them to beat him; I don\'t want to go through something like this again. \'\'
\'\'I apologize for the situation, but it\'s not a big deal because things like this occur occasionally. \'\' The man apologized, but he was shocked by what Belicia said next.
"Young master, why are you still standing there? Are you interested in the antiques here? \'\' Belicia said with a sly smile.
\'\'What!? Y-young m-master???\'\' The old man stammered.
The woman was as stunned as the old man by what she heard.
\'\'If you\'ve had enough fun, can we go now? \'\' Under the shocked gazes of the man and woman, Raydon sighed and moved toward Belicia.
\'Young master? So, this lady serves as the battle maid for this man who appears to be completely ordinary?\' His thoughts caused every hair on his body to stand on end. Even though the servant was merely the lowest member of the family, he still needed to show them the utmost respect.
The power of the families who rule this world is undeniable, and everyone who works for them should be respected in the same way. Every statement made by them should be interpreted as coming from the family they work for.
If even one maid was so revered, their treatment of the young master, who was being served by that maid, was unacceptable.
